My husband and I went to Costa Brava for Valentine's Day and it was just about perfect. The ambience is romantic and the food and service were excellent, even with a packed house.

For such an elegant and pricey establishment, they are very stingy with what is usually served gratuitously at other less expensive restaurants. 2 small slices of bread are $4, & you have to ask for water if you want it. Drink pours are quite small, also The filet mignon was well-cooked, but a small portion. The fish was under seasoned. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, & the ambience is nice.

Each course of the 4-course meal and the accompanying wines were delicious and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and attentive, but not disruptive. Made for a perfect date night with my hubby! This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Houston area and they never disappoint! If you never tried them, you're missing out on a true gem.

I ordered salmon with puréed cauliflower, and it was absolutely perfect!!! I splurged and had apple tart for dessert that was drizzled with caramel sauce on top with ice cream. The coffee was also delicious! I am looking for an opportunity to go back there within the next couple of weeks! BRAVO to Costa Brava!!!!

This is a stand-out restaurant that never disappoints. A lovely evening all around. The food was fabulous. There was an amazing amuse-bouche -- a creamy mushroom soup that was to die for.

This restaurant is a gem in Bellaire. The service is very good, and the atmosphere is perfect. It is quiet, dimly lit, and beautifully decorated. The food is delicious but incredibly rich. We would come more often, but there are only two salads and most of the vegetables served with the meal are drowned in butter. The menu also never seems to change. I like some variety! Being that we have been coming here for years, even before this new building, I feel that an update to the menu would be welcome. Please add healthy vegetables, more salads, and vegetables not drowned in butter.

We have always found the food to be innovative and delicious. The fish was impeccably fresh, the light butter wine sauce perfect. The desserts are rich— we could have shared! The service is informed, attentive, not intrusive. A great place to enjoy wonderful food and conversation. Yes! You are not drowned out by music or loud chatter!

We went for the wine dinner. The trout dish was amazing and one of the best fish dishes I have ever eaten. The lamb chops were prepared in a crispy style which worked quite well. The service was very good and each wine was explained in whatever detail you desired.

Really fantastic experience, went with our teenage kids, starters were all fantastic, mains were great as well and some nice deserts, we had a bottle of wine and a couple of other drinks, worked out at $150 per head including tip, well worth it, if you want a fantastic evening where you want to eat and drink well and have some nice conversation highly recommend, we will be back

Amazing Chef tasting menu. Wine tasting with each course. Perfect birthday celebration. Each presentation artful and delicious! Each staff member was gracious and explained the selections in detail. Will invite friends and family and come often.

Went to this place for a family dinner. Was a little annoyed to not get the menu for a way too long duration of time. Also despite half of the table being served drinks, 3 of us had to ask for a beverage ourselves, but that’s just me being nitpicky. For appetizers, I shared a salad with my friend, though personally not my favorite, she and everyone else enjoyed it.Entrees, I got the salmon with cauliflower, and though I enjoyed it, it felt a bit overpriced for what I got, I was still pretty hungry afterwards (but that could totally just be a me thing). The salmon itself was small but it was crispy and well season, and whatever cauliflower thing surrounding it was was extremely buttery and delicious. My friend got the paella and personally I believe that was the weakest entree. I’ve had more authentic and flavourful paella for half the price for more people and it just personally wasn’t my favorite. My favorite dish, that I wish I got, was the scallops. I thought I didn’t like scallops because whenever I get them, they’re usually rubbery and gritty and overly salty. These on the other hand were the best scallops I’ve ever had, smooth and not chewy, flavorful but not tasting like sand. It was delicious. The risotto was also creamy and delightful. As for desserts, was midly disappointed. I got the strawberry dessert and it kinda tasted like something I could get at IHOP. Someone else got a cheesecake and I personally disliked it heavily. It was for too savory and taste way too much like jsut a slice of cheese. My friend got the apple tart and it was probably the best out of the three. Sweet and delightful.Overall I just think this place is a bit too pricy for me considering its options, but the rissota was incredible that I’d love to go again to get it myself. The atmosphere was nice and I was told the wine and cocktails were delicious (I don’t drink)

We have been to Costa Brava Bistro for several years and there's a good reason for our frequent visits. The foods were excellent, the service outstanding, and the ambiance intimate and relaxing. The grilled octopus and the escargots (appetizers) deserve special mentions. So do the red snapper, the Scottish salmon, the beef filet, and the lamb chop (entrees). On the desert front, our favorites are the bread pudding and the strawberry-buttermilk cake. But really, we have tried most items offered on (or off) the menu throughout the years at Costa Brava Bistro and we have yet come across anything below par.
