We live in Katy and have been going to Golden Pagoda for about 25 years. I don't know if they were bought out as it's been over a year since we have been here. The food use to be great, the best won-ton soup with cabbage, green onions, strips of pork, tender won-tons. The meals were HOT and plenty of meat, whether it was chicken, beef or shrimp. Today we drove up thinking of having a great dinner. We noticed the restaurant had been redecorated, which looked nice and they had a buffet now. I wanted my old favorite Kun Pow triple delight and won-ton soup so we skipped the buffet. First off, no crispy strips to munch on, soup brought out and it wasn't the same. Cabbage and pork stips missing, won-tons were doughy and it was luke warm. My Kun Pow Tripple was Luke warm and mostly vegetables. Wife's dinner luke warm also and no taste.
I don't know if they have new owners or a new cook but we were very disappointed as this now was like most other Chinese restaurants we don't go to. We won't be driving an hour anymore to what use to our favorite Chinese restaurant.

Foods just kind of alright, nothing special about it, you can't really taste any difference in it. It's mid but consistent, I'm hoping it'll get better as time goes otherwise I'll end up going up the road to Golden Imperial.

We had a bad experience here, first of all there is no service, it’s an open buffet, there were 4 of us , 2 adults and two kids, one is 12 the other is 5. We adults ate a full meal and got charges the night charge that is the same menu for lunch only more per person, our 12 year old ate half a plate that was fully charged then our 5 year old had 4 grapes, 2 cantaloupes and still we were charged full price for all. I protested the price she eventually gave us $4 off then taxes etc, we paid $63 for sub par mediocre food. I complained the owner said it’s ok nonchalantly, and that her business has been there 40 years!. Mediocre businesses like this restaurant are a disservice to bellville, while it is an appreciated diverse option, this should not mean we should accept mediocre businesses to thrive and overcharge for their sub par mediocre food. Noting the food was lukewarm warm, felt old, and cooked to fill a display with mo regard to flavor or presentation. We will not come back, and I behest the residents of bellville to be more concerned about where and who their hard earned money goes to.

Yikes. I grew up eating here and hate to leave a bad review but I think my entire family is done eating here for the foreseeable future. The food quality has drastically decreased, not anywhere near as good as it used to be. The lo mein noodles are fat noodles and very bland, please bring back the old ones... The egg rolls are different, not as good. The general tso's chicken was so overcooked and hard, I couldn't even bite a piece off. And to top it off, the service was garbage. Our server was rude, gave us nasty faces, and rolled her eyes at us a couple times. We waited 15 mins for a to-go box after asking 3 people. We are sadly done eating here after being patrons for 20+ years. Very, very disappointed. Please bring back the classics and get some better (nicer) servers.
Ordered to go from here. The lady is always extremely rude at the front always makes you feel like an inconvenience and talks negatively to other coworkers about you. When I addressed my food was wrong she was so ugly. My son came here with me the other day and had two bites off of my plate mind you he’s two, and she charged me for a full buffet as well, even though he ate off of my plate he had one slice of orange and one bite of chicken.
The food was hot and fresh with great variety of food choices on the buffet. Sushi was delicious!! The restaurant itself was very clean and nicely updated, along with friendly and attentive staff!! We will be back!!!

Some of the best buffett I had in a long time
The best food in Belleville..
Thought I’d try it again after they reopened. The sauces were watery, my general tsos chicken didn’t have much flavor at all, the rice tastes weird too. Very disappointing. & the lady who took the order over the phone was RUDE. Like she always has been. Nothing new. I guess the best part is there wasn’t mold in my egg drop soup this time.
Golden Pagoda received a face lift and it is wonderful. You can serve yourself buffet style or order from the menu. Food is hot and taste great. You can dine -in or take out. Only drawback is at times, parking can be a challenge, need more spaces.

Very rude? Went to lunch with family, spent over a 100$, asked for 2 bags. 1 bag for fried wonton and 1 for my desert. They refused. Said I had to pay for my bags. This is not the first time at this restaurant, I have spent plenty of good money here, 1 small paper bag was not going to break the bank. So then I asked for a refund you would had thought I had cursed or threatened them the way they responded, and then followed us outside and stands there and just gawks at us, so my mom ask them is there a problem and he is rude to her and she was not the one that had said nothing. You will never have to worry about us wanting to drive over an hour to Bellville to eat at your restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants that would love the business.
