The pies looked really good, but was not able to get one due to travel. Bought some of the cookies, and pastries. They were decent.

I thought it was a nice little cafe. It does seem a little run down. Pastry quality on point.

We drive from Houston just to get the kolaches and gingerbread men. This place has been around longer than I've been around and quality has never suffered. You should also book a stay at Newman's Castle!

My kids love this place. They have a great breakfast. It was a little expensive, my kids ordered orange juice and it was freshly squeezed which was cool. We will bee back!!

My first and last time to try this place. What a HUGE disappointment. I do not recommend the breakfast tacos. I ordered an egg, bacon & cheese taco and an egg, chorizo and cheese taco. I asked for shredded cheese on my tacos and they put a piece of cheap tasting sliced cheddar cheese. It tasted disgusting which ruined my tacos. They were mainly egg and what meat I could pick out, was ruined with the nasty cheese flavor. The tortillas tasted as if they were heated in the microwave because they had that rubber texture. The atmosphere was a little mixed. There were some kids running around and laying on the furniture. They were most likely an employees children which I find very unprofessional in a public eatery. I have heard mixed opinions about this place. Some good, some bad. My experience was very bad. I will not return to Newman's Bakery.

Friendly staff, good quality food, and bakery items, a definite must on your travels. Don't be in a hurry or you will miss the experience of the old style diner and small town atmosphere.

Great food but the BLT only had 4 pieces of bacon and I'm used to Lewis's in Hempstead with almost half a pound of bacon sandwich for the same price.

It's really SAD. the food is always almost burned, dry and tasteless. The service is almost self-service and the layout is confusing. Where to order. Who to ask and where to pay.
This place has definitely outlived it's usefulness. It seems like it could be fixed. It's a great location and it's been here forever.
