I stopped by The Gathery recently and had a pretty good experience overall. The food was definitely the highlight — I ordered a burger and some basil soup, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared. The burger was juicy, and the soup had a fresh, aromatic kick to it.
That said, the ambience didn’t quite match the quality of the food. It felt a bit shallow or impersonal — like something was missing in the atmosphere to make it feel warm or welcoming. The service was okay but not particularly attentive. It felt a bit forced, like the staff were just going through the motions rather than genuinely engaging with guests.
I’d still come back for the food alone, but I hope the team takes a little time to work on the vibe and encourage the staff to be a bit more cheerful and inviting. A more welcoming energy would go a long way in making The Gathery feel like a place you want to linger.

Cool and cozy place, if you are passing by this small town be sure to take a break here, they have good coffee and lots of souvenirs and second hand hats and boots for sale! An interesting place indeed!

The lamb shank and risotto was the best ever! Lamb was cooked to perfection and literally falling off the bone. Large portion and plenty to share. Accompanied by nice glass of vino!
Food was okay, service sucked terribly, and the manager doesn't know anything about running a restaurant properly. 2/10 would not recommend.

We had an exceptional experience when I took my two preteen girls to dinner. The girls and I had pasta—I’ve had many pastas and the meatballs with vodka sauce may be the best I’ve had. The servers are attentive and welcoming. The girls also had fun in the gift shop where they found some nice lip glosses and unique candies. We all enjoyed the ambiance—the exposed brick, the local art, and the western wear. Excellent experience in all aspects!
