La Perla is a hidden gem in Belton. Early breakfast, lunch , dinner, to go, catering—they do it all. Mexican and Colombian pastries baked fresh every morning. Janie, Jacinto and Henry are a great team.
I was so excited to try this place especially the Colombian bread (pan de bono and buñuelos) but it did not meet my expectations. The bread tasted old, the buñuelos got so hard within seconds of me biting it. I did not purchase any food so I can't speak on that just the bread.
Very disappointed I don't think I'll be back.
I love the breakfast tacos!! 6 for like 12$! my favorite is chorizo and egg.

Great hole-in-the-wall Colombian restaurant that also offers baked goods. Compared to other restaurants that offer tacos, I find this place offers a great deal for breakfast tacos (3 for $5.50). The guy even gave me chips and a plate of beans beforehand while I waited. Tacos tasted good. Will definitely come back to try one of their Colombian plates and their baked goods!

They have the best breakfast tacos around. The bakery looks delicious as well but I haven't remembered to stop by on my way home!

On December 8, 2024 at 9:30 in the morning my sister and I went to this restaurant and asked for two burritos, sausage, bacon, egg cheese potato. The guy at the register rung it up specifically how I asked and then took off one of the items and replaced it with a 50 Cent up charge for extra potatoes on both of them. Of course I didn't ask for that.. I questioned him on why am I being charged for extra potatoes, he got silent then was frantic for a minutes until the girl from the back asked him what was wrong then said something unintelligible.. then the excuse of the sausage button wasn't on their screen was put out. I know he lied because I seen him ring it up the very first time. I enjoy the food.. but stealing money no matter how much it is… it’s wrong.

It's a bit warm in the building but I got various sweet breads and they are very very good.

I like the kindness the server showed the beans and chips were really good and my taco too. The sweets were good too! I will return to it.
