The hole in the wall places are the best! We found this while driving around on a visit to Fort Worth. The chips are homemade, the portions on the huevos con chorizo were huge! I had gorditas de res and they were tasty, but if you want lettuce, sour cream or anything on them, be sure to ask!.
I have only tried theyre gorditas de borrego and lengua and they are really good an original taste of mexico
Love their goat tacos. Best in town. Fresh corn tortillas. Rice and refried beans are good. Agua Fresca is a little too sweet. But I highly recommend this place.

Tortilleria La Original de Zacatecas is a hidden gem serving delicious and fresh food that feels like home. The barbecue and Menudo are standouts, and the tortillas are a must-try. This small spot offers quality food at an affordable price, with incredibly friendly staff and quick service. While the restaurant may be older, it's clean and welcoming, despite the loud music. The menu features hearty options like the platillo, which includes enough meat for 6-7 tacos along with rice, beans, and salad—perfect for those seeking a satisfying meal. Customers particularly enjoy the Menudo, finding it flavorful without needing extra seasoning, and appreciate the variety of protein-rich tacos such as asada, carnitas, and barbacoa, served with good amounts of meat. The red sauce on the table is also enjoyed. The restaurant's atmosphere can be lively, and some have noted that the TV shows can be quite loud and disturbing during meals. Despite some criticisms, many continue to visit for the authentic tortillas and tasty dishes, with friendly service making it a favorite spot for fans of traditional flavors.
