I have been a customer of Henri's since the 1960's. In the past 8 months the quality of baked goods and sandwiches have been a most unpleasant experience. I kept thinking maybe this is just an off day for them as baked goods for this location are actually baked in Buckhead and transported. Today was the final trip I will ever make to this bakery. Pickles in roast beef sandwich were disgusting and hard to pick out. No way to remove them when ordering online. Pate choux in éclair was nothing like real pate choux. It was like it was made to have a longer shelf life. The chocolate on the éclair completely surrounded it. Way too much chocolate and nothing like a real éclair. Why are there all these good reviews? As an Atlanta staple, we expected better. We visited the newish Brookhaven location. The cannoli was delicious, but the buffalo chicken sandwich was a joke. It looked like a few shavings of meat, on a huge bun. Very disappointing. Hello Savory Gourmet in Alpharetta, where they know how to make a sandwich. After decades of patronage, Henri’s has definitely lost our business for the deli.
