long time customer of over 30 years, today we ha lunch and were very disapointed. My wife ordered the shrimp and waited for the salad and was told it would be 2.00 more. I ordered the Beef Enchilidas, menu price 8.99, was charged 9.50. Service was quick, but disappointed in this latest changes, will stay a way for some time.

We all (4) enjoyed our chicken fried steaks. My son got a large which was 2 plate sized ,mashed potatoes and gravey. I had a small (merely covered the plate). Very tasty. Great server and a pleasant family style atmosphere. Price for four was $60 plus 2 beers. Won't hesitate to go back

We eat the the Antler Cafe almost once per week. We visited a few days ago. My husband had the chicken strips and I ordered a Rib-eye steak. We waited for our salads for a while and finally asked the waitress if she was bringing our salads. She stated that Salads are now an extra $2 if we wanted one. We declined. I told my husband that I was really going out on a limb paying $18.99 for a steak and then asked to pay another $2 if I wanted the salad that normally comes with it. We probably won't be going back. Almost $20 for a steak and no salad? That's ridiculous.

Yesterday we went to Richter's Antler Cafe on Highway 46 in Spring Branch Texas and had dinner with some friends (Total of 4 people). We go there often and we enjoy their food, service and their pricing. We had wine. They serve it by the glass and we were brought 4 glasses. We notices that one of the glasses was smaller that the other. When we ask for a second glass the wine server filled the glasses directly out of the bottle and and the server run out wine and she had to get another bottle. When the server returned she also brought another glass for the friend who had a smaller glass than ours and replaced it. This new glass was bigger than our three others. After the server put wine in the glasses my wife jockingly said the the glasses were not filled as high as the first time and the server added a little wine to all our glasses. When we received our bill we noticed that we were charged for 12 glasses of wine, but we only had only 8. We asked the waitress and the waitress told us: "My manager told me to add 4 glasses to the bill, because you asked the server to add wine to your glasses". We ask to talk to the manager and after a while Sabine (The Manager) came and told us that we ask that the server to put more wine in our glasses that she felt we needed to pay more. Please note, there is no fill line on any of the glasses and so far we have had 3 different sizes of wine glasses. The manager told us that, that is the way they do it and that she would talk with the owner about the different glass sizes. That's it and we had to pay for the extra 4.. I had already written the amount of tip on the bill and I tipped the waitress well and I did not change that amount because I felt it was not the waitress's fault because she did not serve the wine. After I got home. I thought about it and the waitress should have told us, that her manager told her to add 4 glasses of wine to our bill and hoping we don't see it and also the server should have told us. It appeared to us that it may be common to add items to the bill, they way the manager acted. We paid and left. As I said we have eaten there many times and the service and food is always great, BUT CHECK YOUR BILL! I would have given the restaurant 5 stars, but because of manager, I am only giving a 1 star.

We are locals and like to come here after church at around 1130am for gigantic country sized portions. My wife loves the calves liver and onions grilled and I always order the chicken fried steak..... the big portion. I'm a big guy but I have never been able to finish it. If you are really hungry you need to come down to Antler Cafe you won't be disappointed! Virtually everthing on the menu is about $10, so we pay more at whataburger!

We sat on the deck-sat us quickly—-chickens all around. Portions are big. Hometown at its best. Reasonable prices. Wanted dessert but no room!

I don't know where to start, everything about this place is good. The food was excellent, the portions are big,and the service is great. The grilled chicken breast is mouth watering delicious and so tender it's amazing. Nothing but good things to say about this place. ?

This place still serves good old country dishes like liver and onions, fried pork chops, chicken fried steaks, etc... Come hungry as they will feed you good. This place is popular among the locals so avoid busy lunch hours or be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes.

We have loved Antlers for at least 30 years. The food is always consistent and it’s a great and favorite place to bring family and friends from out of town. Our last visit was VERY concerning and likely a violation of the health department codes. *A lady was allowed to eat in a booth with a dog on the booth, feeding her dog (off the table)! *Then, another dog walked in and sat on the floor behind us while we are eating Dogs should be served on the outside porch, not in the restaurant. People have allergy issues to dogs, dog hair and dander. These animals were NOT identified as service animals. Sharing this only because we want Antlers to be successful and this is bad business. I would appreciate a response on Antlers pet policy and a sign being put up at the restaurant.

I have eaten here dozens of times over many years. The food and service were usually very good. Let me talk about this visit. It feels to me like the management has slipped and is not getting the job done. First it was the middle of the afternoon. We went in and empty tables were visible. They have separated the tables so there are no empty or skipped tables left open due to Covid. There were 3 parties ahead of us which had not been seated. There was nobody at reception to get a name on the list. We waited about 15 minutes to just get on the list. Where is the staff????? Is management paying attention?? Who is taking care of the customers? The others ahead of us had been waiting longer. A party that came in behind us gave up and left. After getting on the list it was 5-10 minutes before we were seated. All this time there were empty tables available. We were seated and had plenty of time to choose food before the waitress appeared. So we ordered drinks and food at the same time. A beer was ordered dressed with a glass. This was repeated. The beer arrived and the bottle had salt. No Glass. ( Is anybody Listening?) The salads were OK except for the hair in mine. It was not my hair as being mostly bald my hair is 1/2 inch long. This was a 3-4 inch long hair dark curly hair. Also not the color of my guest. The blue cheese dressing was especially strong that day. Too strong for my guest who had to cut it with ranch in order to eat it. The food arrived fairly quickly. The plates had a lot of food. The hamburger steak with brown gravy and onions was very good. Also the Lima beans and green beans were good. The pork chops which can be grilled, pan fried, or deep fried, were very good. They were pan fried and had some breading on them. I am hesitant to go back and would probably go down the street to the Branch Grill.

Went with friends to eat here after Texas Corvette Association car show in Boerne, Texas. I ordered the chicken fried steak with cream corn and asparagus. There was plenty left over after I ate, so took half of it home! Go early though because we arrived after 5 pm and it was over an hour wait for just three people to eat! We took first available and were sweated outside. It was cold as the sun started going down and the wind picked up so come prepared with a jacket in case you have to sit outside to eat. Other than that, it was great !

I have been to Antlers several times. The food is well prepared and served hot. Service is always good, attentive and friendly. Only thing that kept me from giving it a five was the kitchen is a little heavy on the salt. Last time it was the gravy for my chicken fried steak and remember the same from my previous trip. It can get crowded with a lengthy wait so go early or go patient. Well worth the trip though.
