Excellent food, drinks and service! One of our favorite places to go in Boerne. The service is always excellent. Our server tonight Kylee ( im probably spelling this wrong, sorry!) is always so friendly and spot on. Even though she had multiple tables by herself she still made us feel at home and didn’t rush us. The Lavender sangria is really good. You cant go wrong with any of the Tapas. Thank you Botero!!

2 people in my party was allergic to seafood, so after kindly asking for the paella with no seafood, they told us it was off the menu. Surprise, it had been my 3rd time there over the course of 4 months and they said that last time. I asked out waitress about it and she cut me off trying to basically dismiss everything. The owner busted out, puffing his chest and told us to leave if we cannot accept their “rules”. What rules? We were not informed about these “rules”. Anyway, they told us to leave and the waitress told us that she didn’t even want to be there, and if it were up to her, she would help us. I feel super bad for her! She’s clearly scared of the manager. Won’t ever be coming back again.Dietary restrictions: We asked for no seafood, and they basically cooked it with seafood and then put it on the side and said they didn’t, not very inclusive

We had a great time at Botero! Loved the two guys playing boleros on their guitars. Staff was friendly and attentive! Highly recommend this for a fun date night!

Bring Your Own ButterI rarely leave one star reviews - but some experiences motivate you to do so. We wandered into this restuarant as we enjoy tappas. It was empty - a Sunday night. And many items were sold out - food and wine. All could be forgiven until we made the mistake of asking for a bit more sauce and maybe some butter? The kind but obviously lectured waitress exolained “no exceptions can be made - period”. This helps with expediting on the kitchen side. She is not allowed to offer any changes to the dishes. Did Imention we were the only ones there? Were there others asking for butter with their bread? How slammed could the kitchen be? How about some olive oil?Little did we know, the dinner show was about to start. Let me save you, dear diner, from the long macho lecture we endured from one of the most defensive restuarant owners I have encountered - who explained why he could not offer a squirt of sauce here as chaos might ensue. He continued that everything was made with the most authentic care and attention. Oh ok - even though they use potatoes from the grocery story and artichokes out of a can.Regardless, we attempted to explain the importance of hospitality. We were polite - he was agressive and insulted.If I thought the owner would listen, I would have sent him a copy of “Extreme Hospitality” with a pound of butter on the side. PS They don’t have it - neither hospitality nor butter!
A great spot for bites and a glass of wine (or three). Friendly staff, a fun selection of wines and an interesting building.

Showed up at 8:30 pm told that they had closed the kitchen but we could have drinks. We told them that it was a group of 5 then the waiter told us no, that we would need to make a reservation. The waitress was willing to help but the waiter refused and kept making excuses. He also said that if we would have got there 30 min earlier maybe they would have helped us.I’ve been there before and the staff had never acted so rude.
