Amazing food and such nice people! I lived in Central America for a while and missed this cuisine so much, and they have done a Great job of staying true to it and also having some more common foods us Texans may be used to. An awesome addition to Boerne! We loved everything we got.

Loved this place! The food is very authentic El Salvadoran. Pupusas are on point! The portions are plentiful. Their server was very attentive and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

I love love love their pupusas. We were in an unfamiliar area and were hungry. I went to Yelp to find a place nearby and Casa Amaya came up. We like pupusas so we decided to try this place. The pupusas are big. They're not overfilled and soggy like other places we've been. Their salsa habanero is spicy but has a lot of flavor. The salsa verde and other red salsa don't have much flavor but the habanero was awesome! The service was great and we will definitely drive out of our way to come back.

I was encouraged to try and let myself be guided by the reviews but I was disappointed. We ordered fried plantains and they were super green, the pupusas are something without comments, the truth is that on the outside they look good but it's a deception. I asked for scrambled eggs and they came out almost pure beans and the distribution was much to be desired, the cheese is not from pupusas It is the cheapest mozzarella. The service of the lady who gave us excellent

Wow! I'm a fan. I was introduced to Salvadoran food in 2001 by the wife of a Salvadoran Air Force officer who was my co-worker in a special office at Andrews Air Force Base. My family and I were hooked! I was lucky enough to travel on Air Force business to El Salvador in 2003, and were enjoyed a week eating their cuisine. I have been searching for authentic Salvadoran food ever since, mostly with fair-to-good results. Casa Amaya is the jackpot. Their pupusas were as good as my friend's wife made, and as good as we found in restaurants in San Salvador. We also ordered their Yucca with pork--another excellent treat. Their Aguas Frescas were delicious too. In short, everything we ate was superb! The check was also nice to see--very reasonable for all the food we ate and the drinks. Finally, the ambiance (a pet peeve of mine): Perfect. Perhaps it was the time (early Saturday afternoon), but it felt like peaceful place to sit down. If you've ever seen my reviews, one thing that bothers me is a restaurant with loud music; Casa Amaya had some music, but it was played at a very comfortable level. My wife and I could chat without raising our voices. I could chat with our gracious hostess without having to ask her to repeat. We're definitely going back!

Excellent breakfast. I’m from Texas and was looking for TexMex. Instead, I had the El Salvadoran breakfast #5. Fried plantains with cream, eggs, alvacado, refried beans and thick corn tortillas. It was amazing. The coffee is also unique and delicious. The service was great and the food came out fast! I highly recommend.
