So to start with, I ordered the calamari that comes with red sauce. The calamari was extremely undercooked to the point where it doesn’t seem like it’s safe to eat and secondly, the red sauce is just ketchup who serves calamari with ketchup that’s disgusting and not worth $10. Then I got the side of fried rice, which was nothing more than just rice no carrots, no peas no egg just regular brown rice not worth 8.99. And for my main dish, I ordered beef with garlic. All the veggies were undercooked the broccoli doesn’t even taste like they tried to cook. It just tasted like they threw it in there. That carrots were a semi cooked, but not completely. The beef was all right. It wasn’t overcooked, but it wasn’t undercooked. It was just regular. That was the only thing they got correct. This is my second time getting food from here and my first experience wasn’t great either but we won’t go there. This mean was definitely not worth 30!!! And yes that’s how my calamari came to me. It literally looks like somebody chewed it up and spit it back out.😡😡😡😡 I will definitely not be returning or ordering again.. I tried to call to talk to a manager was put on hold for 20min then someone picked up and instantly hung up the phone before I could get a word in. I wish Boerne had a decent Chinese restaurant.

Better than Shang-Hai in Boerne. China Bowl is consistent on flavor and quality. Shang-Hai was good in the beginning but something changed. China Bowl also has lunch, early bird and dinner specials. Can't go wrong with a $10 lunch that has pretty decent portions.

Awesome classic Chinese fare with great service. We can in on a clown night before close, got great service, bonus wonton chips and sauce, and some of the best orange chicken I've ever had. Highly recommend!

Frankly, China Bowl is a go-to for the wife and I over many other overpriced Boerne offerings, because their food is better in their no frills eatery.

I do not recommend. Tried this place previously and it was honestly mediocre food. Figured I would give it one more try to be fair on my review, and to eat something completely different like their Pho. That was a mistake.. the broth was sour and tasted and smelled rancid. I spit it right out and had to throw everything away. Even the noodles and vegetables smelled and tasted like they had been sitting out for far too long.
