The duck has always had cuisine I craved and good cold beer at a decent price. Times are a changing, for many restaurants to say the least. My wife and i are very disappointed with our recent experience at Dodging Duck (to-go). We ordered the Ruben and the Philly. Something was different this time, the bread wasn’t the same and neither were the fries. Overall just wasn’t as good and on top of that I was alarmed at the prices. Three years ago both those sandwiches would have cost $12.95 each now they are $18.95 each. I understand there’s been inflation since but ultimately the food wasn’t worth the price. I have hope for the Duck and do not want to see it struggle but i can’t justify going back anytime soon, maybe for a beer.

Such a fun and iconic spot in Boerne. Their food is excellent, the beer is fresh, great live music and the employees are welcoming. Great spot to view the river. Definitely show this family owned spot some love when you are in Boerne!

I've been coming here for years but yesterday's visit warranted a review. We arrived almost at 6 pm and were seated promptly outside. The place was full but not crowded. Two adults, and two children. We ordered the chili fries for appetizer which came out pretty fast. The kids ordered mac n cheese with fries and the adults ordered a bison burger with veggies and a chicken Cobb salad. Our meals took almost 35 minutes which is crazy for what we ordered!!! People who came after us received their food before us, two tables! The total for us four came out to $86 and their recommended tip started at 18% with no military discount. Normally for good service, I tip 18% or more but I left 15% this time. I was very put off because I do like coming here but it was my friend's first time and they said they would not be back.

Amazing lunch guys! Sunday lunch might be the best time to go to the duck. The weather was beautiful and the music was down right soulful. The Noah Peterson Trio played some of our favorite jazz titles along with some originals of their own.The beer is definitely the best in town. Very crisp, clean, and full of flavor. The peach beer and the pecan were our favorites. The wife had the Cobb salad and it never disappoints, very satisfying. I was craving sauerkraut and potato salad and then I looked down and saw they are both options on the sausage plate! I mean, yes please. The sausage was amazing. They had a very tasty sauce that was mustard based but was mixed with raspberries, I think, on point. The potato salad is one of the best. They also add a fresh baked pretzel with cheese sauce. My only disappointment was that I had to choose between the sauerkraut and the potato salad. This was my closest to Christ moment for the week, enjoying life and all it’s beauty at the Duck.

Great beer! Enjoy it outside instead of the closed confines of the indoors.

Nice place. The beer was ok but better at free roam brewing. we ordered fried okra, and it was way overcooked. We couldn't find our server so called a different waitress over, and she took it away. Our waitress came over and commented about how she thought it looked over done, which is why it probably took so long to come out of the kitchen. We were brought a new basket, but I'm not ordering lunch here. I will go somewhere else. Attaching a picture of both over done and fixed. I gave a 3 star for service because the gentlemen who greeted us and sat us were very friendly. Atmosphere a 4 star because of location.
