The exhaust system does not work. Old landmark. Good for some not for me. The restaurant needs a good cleaning. It is conveniently located .

Fried chicken fried chicken fried chicken! That's what's good here and just about nothing else. Got grub hub from here today and they delivered brownies that had 8/11 on them

We ate there today, met some of the family there and spent 2 1/2 hours talking about any and everything family related. The staff never asked us to hurry so we were glad about that. Now the food, I had the special meat loaf. It wasn't like "what mama made" but is was good. The Mac and Cheese was average and the fried okra was a little under cooked. My wife's fried chicken was to her liking as were the potatoes and broccoli. Free fill ups for your choice of drinks. Wait time for our food was about 10 minutes. You order at the entrance, pay and the staff brings your food to your table. I will probably not make this a favorite cafe and return at any time in the future. I would just rate the place and the food as average for a gas station cafe.

Slow decline of something once great, don't order breakfast tacos you will be extremely disappointed to find a little greasey taco with fillings the size of a nickle

What a disappointment. Stopped because the highway sign pictures looked good. The food was not like the pictures when we got it. Some of our orders were wrong and it took a long time for the correct food to come out. The bacon was n absolute joke. I did not know you could slice bacon that thin. You could literally see through it. Waste of time and money. Keep driving to Denny's if you want breakfast

Burgers would probably be ok. Breakfast of chicken fried steak was not something good. Over fried frozen patty. My wife felt the meat was bad. Ham steak was can ham. Had higher expectations. Rustic/country appearance inside. It filled the hole.
Don't be alarmed that this cafe is attached to a gas station. The burgers were juicy and delicious and prices are very reasonable.

Been here more times than I can count. They must be having a staffing problem currently. They lost our order, then eventually served us some seriously subpar food. No apologies, I hope they can get it back on track.

Kept seeing billboards for this place and the online menu sounded great so we decided to stop the morning we left Boerne to return to Houston. Parked and got both toddlers out of their car seats, brought them inside and got in line. I ended up going to a table while my mom waited to order food, only to find out there was something wrong with their system, and thus they refused to take any orders or ring anyone up. This place looks like a diner out of legend, the decor is adorable and profoundly Texan, and everything looks like it probably did back in the 70s, so I found it pretty baffling that they had no contingency plan for ringing people up the old-fashioned way. We had to haul my hungry kids back to the car and just did what-a-burger instead. Really disappointed that a place which advertised with so many billboards could be so unprofessional. Will not be returning, even if their biscuits and gravy did sound amazing.

So I stopped to buy a club sandwich and I asked if I can substitute the fries for a baked potato and the guy said they couldn’t and would need to charge me $4 and some change for it plus what the plate of club sandwich with fries cost which was $11.47 with tax. I think that’s ridiculous! It’s literally the same thing fries are probably more than one potato. They’ve lost a customer. I love the sandwiches but that’s just taking advantage! Never again will I stop there!
