Exactly what we were seeking - Texas bbq restaurant that served chicken fried steak and okra.
Everything was tasty and the blueberry cobbler was devoured !!

My family came into town on Sunday evening. We were excited to stop by this place for some good food. When we got there, the lady at the counter taking our order was so rude. She was very condescending with my elderly father and was not helpful in the ordering process. We were very appalled and taken back by her bad attitude towards us. That left us with a bad feeling, right away. When we got our food, most of the dishes weren’t very good and lacked flavor. The salad looked good and fresh though. Really saddened by this experience, as I wanted to love this place like others.

We love this place. Everything we have ordered has been excellent and consistent. Tonight we decided to order 2 filet mignons to go. I was a bit skeptical about “to go” filets, especially since we live miles away, but that’s what I wanted so that’s what we got. Not only was the meal absolutely delicious, they wrapped everything so it was all still hot when we got home. Now I have to add yet another favorite to my list of Hungry Horse meals… thanks guys!!! Now I have to try all the casseroles!

The food is fresh and delicious. The workers take your orders as quick as possible. The atmosphere is comfortable and down to earth. Reminds me of the old restaurants. I highly recommend it.

DONT COME HERE. Came today 08-22-25 Got 2 sweet teas, a cat fish plate and chicken fried plate . It came out to 46$ Never got greated , the food was horrible for being pricy. Mashed no seasoning or butter. Corn legit straight out of a can. The broccoli not even salt or pepper ?? Left basically the whole thing and likewise for the other plate. 👎👎 We noticed people who where leaving got told bye as soon as we left not even that. Bad food, bad atmosphere, and horrible service. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME . DEF 👎 The heavier set dude and older guy with Grey hair served us the awful experience dinning in today. Both provided bad service and bigger guy said my bfs name wrong 2 times . Wow.

My wife and I got the chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and fried oakra. We also had fried mushrooms with ranch dressing. Everything was great.
