$200 tab with a glass of wine, a beer, 2 cokes, 1 appetizer and 3 entrees. Steaks were overcooked, “red wine bordelaise” was absolutely just au jus. Too much truffle oil on the fries. Value is nonexistent. Won't be back. Our server was awesome but the meal was really not great.

We opted to sit outside bc there was a live band. The volume was extremely loud. The food was mediocre and super greasy. Definitely not worth the high price. The restaurant and resort are very nice and the service was pleasant.

First time dining here and it was great. There were 5 of us celebrating my husband’s birthday. We weren’t rushed, the views were beautiful and the service was excellent.

This was our first time at La Cascada, and we were very impressed. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly and the service was awesome. We enjoyed celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary there. We will be back. Thank you, La Cascada, for a wonderful experience.

Enjoyed a great evening at Cascada. They have live music on the patio and the drinks are great! I highly recommend visiting. Britney is awesome! She made us feel like family.

Beautiful setting with a view of the golf course & waterfall. Dinner salad with 3 grilled shrimp for $18 seemed pricey. Much better value to order the hamburger with crisy fries for $20.

The ambiance was fun. The golf course was a beautiful view. The food was odd. We got the crispy deviled eggs but they were gummy. I got the Reuben and kept tasting bananas. Not worth the drive.

We had the fried green tomatoes with shrimp- amazing! Was really awesome. And we had Porterhouse steak for 2 - just incredible. Fantastic meal. And view amazing- Sunset perfect. Really had a nice evening.

UPDATE: We ate at La Cascada again the next night and it was much better. Our server was excellent and she made good recommendations. We had the fried green tomatoes with blackened shrimp - they were excellent! My husband had the sirloin med rare and it was perfectly cooked and tasty. I had a caesar salad with grilled chicken - also good. We had the blueberry cheesecake for dessert - it was ok. We had 6:30 reservations and were seated at a 2 top table. Sat there for 12 minutes with no one acknowledging us. We got up and moved to the bar to eat. Don't get the oyster appetizer - it was so bad. Bacon, bread crumbs and mushrooms must have been pureed and it was put on top of the oysters. Taste was so off - we could n't finish them. My husband had the grilled fish and shrimp with rice and green beans. It was good but not great. I had chicken fried steak. It was good with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans. Overheard some members of the club talking about the chef and apparently a recent one only lasted 3 months and there is a new one. Stick with the basic stuff when ordering - don't try the items that sound fancy.

The worst brunch …Cheap food for the price

Had reservations for brunch at 10:39 and when we checked in she started to say they were only serving lunch to which I corrected her based on their web site. I ordered eggs Benedict and asked that the eggs be poached medium and they were barely poached. They were completely out of ketchup.....My husbands omelette was very dry and he received 1 piece of toast and 1 sample size grape jelly. It took forever to get our food!! The waitress was sub par...really poor service for such a beautiful place. This was our 1st time there and I'm not sure we will return.

Hostess who was actually the Food and Beverage director was not very friendly and had a frown on here face. Waiter tried but the restaurant was understaffed so the service was extremely slow. Food was absolutely terrible, we were there for breakfast and all of our eggs were overcooked (burnt) yet all entrees were brought cold. Only silver lining was the Mimosas were good and the bar tender was enthusiastic and helpful. I live right down the street and I would avoid this restaurant if possible.

Great atmosphere but the restaurant really needs to step up the service & kitchen timing to align with the price.
Came in for Mothers Days weekend - sat outside. Bad flies this time of year, the food was very slow to come out, and the live band was far too loud to have a conversation at the table. Not sure if I would recommend it again for a nice dinner with family, but the atmosphere is nice to enjoy the hill country.
