Two of us ate the special and thought it was very good. One of us had the chicken quesadilla and enjoyed it very much. We ordered the carrot cake and it was a long time coming and a little dry.

We ate here two nights in a row. Beautiful restaurant and great ambiance. Servers were both great both nights. Disappointed because they were out of several regular menu entrees both nights.

The last time I dined here was in 2021, a dinner for two with just my husband. Last night, I had my two young daughters and mother join us. We cannot say enough how delicious, savory and affordable their food & drinks are. We also ate breakfast there this morning and was equally impressed by the food and staff.

Great service. Food was great as well! The restaurant wasn't very busy, so that was a plus for us too.

Sat at the bar and had a wonderful experience. Service was 10/10 and my drinks were amazing . Both bar staff were very attentive and friendly. Macallie and Stephan both took great care of me and were constantly making sure I had everything I needed. Definitely recommend going to see those two and have them make you a cocktail. Great place with live music too

First it seems not enough staff to wait tables. Ordered holiday meal prime rib and the meat was extremely tough. My date literally sawed her medium meat with a knife. One gentleman remarked he could not even cuts his with the night. Another woman remarked the meal was terrible. I ordered country fried steak and meat was well done, burnt on end of meat tips. Mash potatoes to much garlic and green beans passable. The peach cobbler was too sugared. It was way too sweet to point of syrup consistency. We paid $140.00 for the meal that was no worth the cost. Meal was so bad there should be refunds. I do not recommend any one dine here until major improvements are made in the kitchen.

Wife and I had the Christmas Day special. Both of our prime ribs were overcooked and mediocre. The wife's was tough and hard to cut! They need sharper steak knives. Service was slow but understandable due to the holidays. We expected more and will return for a follow up visit when it's not so hectic.

We interpreted the advertisement to mean, the restaurant was serving a Christmas meal on Christmas Day. "Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinner Special". $52 pp. Dec 24th, 2025-Dec 25, 2025. No times were specified. Open table offered multiple times for sittings. So, when we arrived, we were given a regular menu and politely informed that the Christmas meal started at 5pm. So we were disappointed. However, the restaurant and bar are nice and open, with nice view of the golf course. The drive out on I-10 was easy. The food was simple; burgers, salads with a full bar. The food was good.

Ryleigh, our server was AMAZING!!!! Fantastic attention and personality. A real star for Tapatio. Wonderful ambience and Christmas decor. Quiet and lovely. Prime Rib was overdone (not pink) and very fatty. That is a chef and sous chef issue. Nothing should leave the Kitchen without the chef ensuring perfection. Other than that a great evening

I’m very disappointed with the experience my family had at La Cascada Table and Bar on Thanksgiving. I called around 12:30 PM to make a reservation for four (two adults and two children, ages 6 and 3). The hostess, Camila, clearly told me that the last seating for the Thanksgiving buffet was at 3:30 PM and the price was $42 per adult and $25 per child. We even called again on the way to let them know we were running about 15 minutes late, and she said it was no problem.

When we arrived, Camila seated us, but no server came for about 15 minutes. I approached the hostess again, and she apologized and said the server would be right over, and that we could go ahead and get plates from the buffet. By the time we went, they were already cleaning up the buffet, so our kids only grabbed a small plate of fruit, and my husband and I got a single plate of turkey.

Our server, Cameron, finally came to take our drink orders. We enjoyed the outdoor area while the kids played, but the real surprise came when the check arrived: $75 per adult and $30 per child. This was almost double what I had been told on the phone—twice, by the same hostess.

When I questioned the price, the Food & Beverage Manager, Nina Guajardo, came over. Instead of showing understanding, she told me that the prices I was quoted were for dinner at 5 PM. When I explained that the hostess had specifically told me the lower price for the 3:30 seating, her response was: “I haven’t asked her, since she is just a hostess.”

That comment alone showed a clear lack of respect and professionalism. The hostess is the one who answers calls, greets guests, and creates the first and last impression of the restaurant. If she is “just a hostess,” as the manager said, then the issue is a lack of training and leadership, not the staff member.

Despite the misinformation, the limited buffet, and the long wait for service, the manager refused to honor the quoted price and offered only a 20% discount “for the inconvenience.” She also gave me her business card and suggested I email her—after we had already spoken in person and the issue had been poorly handled.

Overall, this experience showed poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional management. The views outside were beautiful, but unfortunately the service and management made this a disappointing holiday experience for our family.

Always a great experience. The food quality is 2nd to none and the service is excellent. We are there so much we know most of the staff.

My family and I came here for breakfast over the weekend. We loved the atmosphere. We were waited on by Kymberly ( the manager) and her trainee Andrew. Both were very attentive to our family. I ordered the Avocado toast with the addition of the smoked salmon... it's probably the best I've honestly ever had. My kids both ordered the pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs (they devoured their meals almost instantly). My husband ordered their brisket breakfast tacos... he's requesting we come out here more often for breakfast on the weekends. Overall this was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back.

This place provided a beautiful ambiance for both daytime breakfast and nighttime dinner. The service was amazing despite them being short staffed on one of those days. The food was incredible and their extensive wine list only adds to the positive experience. We would definitely dine here again if we ever stay at Tapatio Springs in the future.

Food was good although very expensive. But issue was that it took and hour and a half to get our food and there were only 3 other parties there at most. Probably understaffed for a Sunday evening.

Thought the restaurant was nice and staff was good. Food was good although it wasn't unique or exceptional and a little overpriced. I would recommend it though.
