It is an order at the counter place and you pick it up to eat....but don't let that fool you. The prices are spot on, and the food is AMAZING. the Junior Chicken Fried Steak is anything but that. Tasty, and they have hot sauce right on the table. Drinks are free refills, and they do not skimp on the portions. Go here if you can. There's a reason they've been around for 40 years!

My husband and I ate here while in Boerne. The chicken tenders were good but the homemade onion rings were so very delicious. The staff were very nice and courteous. We will definitely be going back next time we're in Boerne.

Went in on a Friday night and did not think the wait would be what we received. The place was not full but as people came in for mobile orders I noticed how quickly it filled up. People were standing and waiting for 20-30 minutes for food including myself.
When we finally got our order 30 minutes later, my burger was wrong, I checked the ticket and the cashier had added all the no items to yes. Then I waited another three rounds of order to get mine and when I did had to take it to go.
The sweet tea was also out.
When I finally got to my car to enjoy my 🍄🟫 Swiss, the burger was too hot and sadly the fries were too cold. Burger was not tasty, hardly any mayo but the mushrooms were not fully grilled and there was no flavor on my beef patty like my husbands. Buns were not grilled on both sides.
It was a very unpleasant experience for me.
My husband got a regular cheeseburger combo with onion rings and honestly that was the way I should’ve went, next time I know if I ever try this place again.

Longhorn is usually my go to spot when I pass through for business but today was not the case as I walked in few people in the dining area figured great timing until I heard yelling from an employee tough morning but when it's a comotion and customers can clearly hear the yelling was not expecting such a scene

The Chicken Fried Steak was terrible. They should rename it previously frozen Salisbury steak, as it's processed meat. Have ordered the burger in the past, which was much better than this meal. Dine at your own risk.

Pleasantly surprised with the fresh food, portions, and amazing taste! We had the true southern comfort food that definitely didn’t disappoint- chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, fried okra, Texas toast, chips and queso & guac, triple decker club sandwich with fries. Note the queso is not spicy hot but flavorful. Plus their tea is fresh and good strength. We’ve bookmarked as a family favorite.

Not sure what is going on today at the Longhorn Cafe but this has to be one of the worst dining experiences in a long time. It has been almost 30 minutes after ordering and our burgers and fries are still not done, the ice tea machine is not working and the staff looks loke they could care less about anything but their cell phones.... I'll give it another five minutes and if our food is still not ready I will ask for a refund...
They have very good burgers, onion rings, and fried mushrooms.

Really enjoyed this place and the service was quick. I went on a Wednesday evening and the food came out in about 10 min or less. Everything was tasty and filling. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Definitely will come back. Very relaxing place and easy going.

If I was homeless, I would save my money for a higher quality restaurant. Food was bland and strictly focuses on profit, also both fountain drink machines were out of Dr Pepper. No respect. My order: chicken fried steak w/ mac and cheese and salad.

Hadn't been to Longhorn in several years. Decided to give them a try again with a party of 3 on a Sunday for lunch. Place was about 1/4 full at most. Menu and service were much better than before. We were second in line and ordering was quick. Wait time for food was decent (about 15mins). We wanted to sit outside since the sound level of music made conversation difficult (this has always been an issue for us), but the empty outside patio smelled of tobacco smoke (even before you opened the door). Food was very nice and plentiful, but the drink dispenser put out a strange tasting water that also affected the sodas (we had to get our water from the gas station...they said this is not new). Overall a much better experience than in past years and we will be back.

Love Long Horn! Best place for burgers but honestly they have everything. The bacon cheese burger is delicious and the onion rings are huge! Very friendly atmosphere the staff was very kind and Bettie the cashier who took my order was very patient and friendly. Will definitely be back!
