The cinnamon roll was so good and worth the hype. Drove about 4 hours to try this viral cinnamon roll. I was scared to go because I went on the day before Thanksgiving and figured they would be busy or run out of cinnamon rolls. Luckily they were not. Felt that the service could’ve been a bit nicer and friendlier. The ladies in the front seemed a bit annoyed and ready for customers to leave.

Got their huge cinnamon roll. Separate container with at least a cup of yummy frosting. We got 4 servings from it. The picture is before frosting.

The cinnamon roll from the gods. The perfect amount of sweet mixed with cinnamon and soft dough.

Don’t pass this place up.

The kolache had a great balance of pastry and sausage.

The rest of the items we will return for. The hour drive was worth it. See you all again soon.

$10 super sized infamous cinnamon roll soaked in super sweetness. 4🌟because Boerne native says recipe has changed, not as fluffy. Still deelish, one cinnamon roll plenty to share or save for snacky later.

We saw the giant cinnamon bun on Texas Eats and thought we’d give it a try. The cinnamon bun is impressive with the size. The cinnamon bun dough was a stiff and firm and not soft like I would have expected.
The frosting is not real cream cheese frosting.
I make cinnamon rolls at home and my husband and daughter both prefer mine.
I think $10 was a fair price.
The bakery is small, seating outside in nice and shaded right next to the bookstore.
We didn’t have coffee but the prices were good.
My husband had a blueberry scone and really liked it.
Overall, I’m glad we went and tried it. I believe in supporting small businesses.

They have the biggest cinnamon rolls I have ever seen in person with LOTS of icing. They also have BIG cookies and I bought 2 oatmeal cookies.

The famous cinnamon roll was dry and lacking flavor. Very underwhelming. Social media has left a lot to be desired.

The listed website doesn't say anything about a bakery, only a brewpub and a wine bar. Where's the info on the bakery?

Overall very cool, do I need to go back, no. We had heard about the giant cinnamon rolls and needed to check it out. People were lined up out front before it opened (just a handful) on a Tuesday and we got our giant cinnamon roll and sat outside in the sun to enjoy. Overall, a little crispy for my taste, but totally cool. They were having some technical difficulties while we were there, but the staff was excellent!

While visiting New Braunfels, my wife and I had to swing by Boerne to check out Richter’s massive cinnamon roll everyone has been raving about. I’m by no means a cinnamon roll connoisseur, my wife is.

We got to Richter’s when it opened and people were already waiting. A good sign, right? The roll behind the pastry case was so massive, the bakery could only display one. The staff were very nice and attentive.

I grabbed myself an oat milk latte and a gluten free chocolate torte so I could sit back and enjoy the cinnamon roll show, but y’all. It did not live up to the hype.

The cinnamon roll had a decent taste but it was not freshly made or fully baked. Based on the texture, temperature, and dryness, we suspect it was a leftover from the prior day. Reheating it in the microwave just made it harder and chewier. When my wife got closer to the middle, she discovered the roll wasn’t baked all the way through because the center was really doughy. Needless to say, she was disappointed.

Personally, I enjoyed GF chocolate torte, which was moist and tasted like it had a hint of amaretto.

Known for cinnamon rolls and rightfully so. I suppose that what makes it renowned is the fact that the dough is not overly sweet. There are a few tables in a covered area near the entrance so you'll be able to eat your purchase on site. Be warned to figure in the cost of parking to your visit. You'll pay at least $5.00 + tax to park in the adjacent lot. And you'll need a degree in Computer Science to get through the process of actually paying to park. So figure in all that too. Would I go back? No. Although the cinnamon roll was good it wasn't worth the hassle.
