I bought 2 of the 8” pies. I got the buttermilk chess and the chocolate. I’ve bought Tootie Pies from their inception. The Buttermilk Chess was always a favorite. This pie today has NO flavor. I was so disappointed. If customers could have had the originals they would have loved them. I don’t mind paying higher prices for a quality product. Won’t be buying these pies again?

As you may know if you follow me, I am always on the hunt for perfect pies. There are the mundane available at the main supermarkets but if you want a gourmet pie, 11" to serve a crowd, it is hard to find in LA. Still, I have a couple of reviews here that show, in a pinch, one can get some decent pies for a hefty price. I stumbled on Tootie Pie through a secondary seller. I took a chance and ordered the Buttermilk Chess and the Whiskey Pecan pies. They came flawlessly packaged for shipping, enveloped in dry ice and deeply cold so I could pop them in the freezer until just before Christmas. I took them out, placed them in the fridge and by the next day, they were perfect, sitting out festively on the table, at room temperature. It is hard, if not impossible, to find any Chess pie in LA, but this one was out of this world delicious. It is creamy, dense enough to give it more body than a cream pie, with a rich, buttery, complex flavor. The Whiskey Pecan was just as good. They were as fresh as if we had just made them ourselves and beautifully crimped around the edges. Everyone was singing their praises. The prices, with shipping and tax are lower than what it costs to go to WeHo or BH and pick up pies, with all the hassles parking. Now I am monitoring all their seasonal offerings. You will not be disappointed -- give them a try.

After 10 years of shopping in TX, this was the rudest experience I’ve ever had. On 10/12/23 @ 4 pm I stopped in to pick up a couple 4” pies. The sales clerk was ridiculously rude. There were very few pies in the case. I asked her if she had any small pies in the back. She asked me what I meant by small, 4”, 8” or 12”? I said 4”. She began listing off what she had in the back. I asked if she had buttermilk. She said yes but we hold those back for the southern sampler. I then asked about the pie slices in the case and again met with rudeness. When I asked if a particular piece was coconut, she said NO, it’s cheesecake. Trying to make conversation, I said that I saw that Costco now sells a few of their pies online. She said that wasn’t her area that was Dripping Springs. No hello, how is your day, can I help you?I will never return to that store. It’s a shame because Tooties Pies are delicious. I guess instead of supporting a small local business, I’ll order my Tooties Pies online at Costco.

I have always wanted to try this place and so happy I finally get to mark it off my list! The man in the front was super sweet and helped me pick a pie. They have so many pies to choose from and there's so many places to sit! I chose the chocolate pie and was delicious! It was about $5 for the mini's! I honestly demolished and the pie crust was nice and flaky! It smelled so delicious inside and I didn't want to leave! I will definitely stop by again to try more flavors in the future!

Great pies including gluten free. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We first went for pies at Thanksgiving and have since stopped by a few times.

There are so many flavors of pie to choose from. However, the key lime is second only to my first slice in Key West. So yummy. Every pie that my family has tried is so delicious. The owners are very involved in the community and often sponsoring events with their luscious pies.
