I was on my way home and called in an order for some chips and salsa. I was asked “mild or hot”. I hadn’t been to the restaurant in many years so I didn’t remember what “hot” actually meant so I opted for mild. For a tiny little Mexican food restaurant tucked away down 114 in the country, Dos Chiles Grandes absolutely blew me away. The last time I had eaten Mexican food beforehand was at a place in Azle and it was absolutely awful and although I knew this place had to be at least a little bit better, it exceeded all of mine and my girlfriend's expectations. Will probably give it another shot but i can Guarantee neither of us will order what we did today.
The bad:
The chips were refrigerator cold, the salsa is literally tomato paste & The Barbacoa tacos I had were very tough & chewy (schredded) & tasted like a roast out of the oven with Very minimal flavor.
The sweet tea had a weird taste &...
