He answered me once more and then no more from him. No response to any of my text, messenger, email or VM. I found this to be very unprofessional. Don't offer if you don't or won't follow through. I was totally bummed out 😭

We went in during lunch time but both the waitress was kind enough to ask the cook if he'd be willing to cook a burger 🍔 and cfs for was which he said he'd be happy too. I was really excited to try the CFS and was looking forward to it. We waited a bit but we understood we asked for something that wasn't available yet so we appreciated it. We've passed by Mel's so many times and never stopped now we ALL kick ourselves for it. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The burger was cooked to perfection and juicy with tons of flavor. My CFS was delicious along with the creamy mashed potatoes and fried okra. Definitely going back! The customer service was great our waitress was attentive. So overall experience was awesome. Looking forward to trying pies and everything else on the menu 😋 the ONLY downfall to this was the temperature it was really muggy and hot in there but I understand with this Texas heat.

Been here a couple times and it was great. Good food at good prices' service was great, never had to chase down a coffee refill. I would however avoid this place when they are real busy as the waitstaff can't seem to get to the back of the restaurant and you will wait a ridiculous amount of time for anything.

The chicken fried steak was really good. We had it as the lunch special. Another time, our family and guests came for the all you can eat breakfast buffet ($13). The choices were limited (biscuit and gravy, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast), but everything was good. Food kept coming out so was fresh. Really liked the french toast. Service is typically good, but one time we were there our waitress was chatting up some other patrons a lot and was slow to get to us.
