This place originally was an old brothel. It's been many things since then but its been the Blackhorse Cafe for about the last 3-4 years . All original architecture, the interior is unique . Has 3 levels but for now only two are open to the public . Great food , the prime rib is AWESOME ! Open bar , warm and friendly staff. Loaded mash potatoes are great , chicken fried steak is awesome , it's truly a unique and beautiful dinning experience. Rumored to occupy restless...
Me and my wife have enjoyed lunch here 3 times on our trips up to watch our daughter play softball at Cisco College. Breckenridge is about a 45 min drive north of Cisco and worth every minute and mile to enjoy this great food, wait staff and environment. We both have ordered something different on the menu each time and have yet to be disappointed. The onion soup paired with any sandwich they offer is the bomb. Can't wait to go back.
I got the brisket sandwich with beans and potato salad. It was all very good, more than enough to eat. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet and I always love the atmosphere of the Blackhorse. We also got to visit with Mary, always a plus!!!
