I decided to do a quick get away with some friends for my BDay and wanted to do a nice little lunch in lil ole Brenham...did my Google search and found LJ's & BAM a diamond. When I tell you this is by far THEE best BBQ I've ever had. The ribs are fall off the bone delicious. Let's not forget about the delicious sausage geeze. Green beans on point, homemade pickles to die for and let me tell you about the mac. The creamiest of the creamiest. If you are down in the area or just want to take a drive for good BBQ, LJ's is the place to go. Let me not forget the staff. I'm talking bomb.com. So friendly and professional. Get there!

Some of the absolute best bbq I’ve ever tasted. The brisket and ribs melt in your mouth. The jalapeño cheese sausage is delicious. The potato salad and the green beans are so flavorful. The customer service is outstanding and the atmosphere is like home. Can’t wait to come back and have more of everything!
We went there yesterday after a soccer practice with many of our boys and their parents and we were all very surprised of how good the food was. Many things were already sold out and it was still early. That tells you alot of how good their food is if it is so highly demanded and how fast they sell out…. The next day we came back to practice we had many parents asking about the place because the boys mentioned to their team mates that the food was great. I highly recommend it, just come early…. So far it has been the vest bbq I have ever had.

Didn't care to much for this place. I got their chicken fajita lunch special. Came with rice and beans. For as much bacon they had in the beans they were a bit on the bland side. Rice was well textured but again kinda bland. Only thing I feel exceptional was the homemade tortillas and sauteed onions.

I've been to most of the well known central Texas BBQ joints including those in Lockhart and LJ's is on the same level in my opinion. High quality moist brisket that melts in your mouth and great jalapeno cheese sausage which has a nice balance of texture and flavor. Sauce is excellent as well but definitely optional because the meat stands out on its own. Typical offering of BBQ sides and the potato salad is my go-to. Highly recommend stopping here if traveling through Brenham.

Family has been going to LJ's for the past 3 years. We came from out of town on a Wednesday at 12:30pm. For the first time in 3 years, we left unsatisfied with our food. We ordered over 1.5lbs of ribs and about a pound of Turkey. Half pound of Brisket and half lb of sausage. We look forward to these when we come in town. Ribs were smaller than normal and Dry, and the Turkey was very dry and ended up throwing half of it away. To make matters worse, the prices have gone up again. The Brisket was smoked perfect and the sausage was good. Left very disappointed and hoping this was just a one time thing.
