Can’t say that anything was terrible, but not a single item we had could be called good. Chicken was rubbery and lacked flavor, queso was barely warm and was just a melted block of cheese no other ingredients, onions rings were soggy. Just sadly not impressed

We spent the weekend in Brenham and decided to stop in for lunch at Lone Star Southern Grill. We were seated quickly but it took the server at least 10 minutes to to show up at our table, and it was quite noisy. We finally ordered and the food came fairly quickly and was good overall, but the fries must have been sitting, as they were not hot, and a bit greasy. Otherwise I have no complaints. It was good enough that I would stop here again if passing through, but if the service or food is off again, I likely won't return.

I JUST PICKED MY TO GO ORDER UP 2 PORKCHOPS LOADED MASH POTATOES today 12/21/25...AND OMG ITS GOOD..THE CRUST CRUNCHY AND SEASONED..THE CONDIMENTS FOR THE LOADED POTATOES IS MORE THAN ENOUGH..AND THE SIDE SALAD IS BEAUTIFUL..AND I GOT THE CORRECT DRESSING OF FRENCH
Our first visit there and so glad we stopped. Susan was a great server, & the food was amazing. Our new favorite place. Try the fried mushrooms, OMG!

Visited family in Houston and heading back to Austin, my dad got hungry. We stopped here. Chicken friend steak was on point. Chicken and dumplings were on point too. I would put this against Jack Allen's. Would Definitely Recommend This Place. 👌

A great little restaurant that we pass all the time and finally decided to stop in and give a try. The food was very good, Southern homestyle cooking. For the most part, the portions were good, but I felt like they skipped a little bit on the mashed potatoes. Regardless, everything about our experience deserves five stars. The wait staff is wonderful, especially the server who tended to our table, Misty. She was exceptional! I will say this though, I don't understand why they're wasting time peeling potatoes. Mashed potatoes without the peel just doesn't seem right to me. Still, five stars across the board. Will return.
Absolutely delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and our waitress was awesome! Large portions all the way around! Be sure to try their blackberry cobbler with a generous scoop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream! Yum!

This place has a classy but country home vibe. We got their burgers and fries. The fries were extra crispy and the burger was delicious. Staff was fast and friendly. We will absolutely stop again to try more of the menu!
