We have been known to enjoy delicious, home cooked lunches at Santa Fe & SP Cafe as often as 3 times a week. We have never been disappointed.
We had the boiled shrimp, fried pickles, crab stuffed jalapeños (we loved these), fried shrimp, and fried catfish. It was all very good and our waitress was very friendly.
😀Great food. Good price. Fast service
had the #4 breakfast. it was delicious. I also added hash browns to it. excellent choice. loved the patty sausage. tasted local. not commercial at all
This is the first place I eat at whenever I'm visiting from Chicago. Love how fresh their salads are, catfish straps, alligator bites and of course corn nuggets.
One of the worst meals ever! We were very hungry after a long road trip so we stopped at the first non-fast food place that we saw. What a mistake! The atmosphere is ho-hum, dated, but fairly clean. The food on the other hand is bad. We ordered the Calamari Appetizer. The portion size was for 1 person, the pieces looked more like onion rings and were slightly overcooked. The waitress told us that it came with a peanut sauce. We found that very odd and asked for a remoulade sauce, and she said the kitchen staff had no clue what a remoulade sauce was. We tried the peanut sauce which was more like a colored oil with absolutely no flavor. And no lemon was even provided with the calamari. Next we ordered the Grilled Stuffed Flounder with Dirty Rice and Mixed Veggies. The flounder tasted like it was a pre-stuffed frozen product that was grilled and served. It definitely was not fresh fish, hand stuffed. There was a bland white sauce on top. The rice was flavorless and cold. The mixed veggies were all undercooked except for the green beans. The carrots, broccoli, zucchini, were all undercooked - the carrots were hard, practically raw. My husband had Blackened Redfish with a crawfish sauce and Mixed Veggies. The veggies were undercooked just like mine. The fish did not appear to be fresh, nor did it look or taste like Redfish. It was barely blackened and the sauce did not have crawfish in it. There were cocktail shrimp, way overcooked - tasteless and hard as a rock! We should not have paid for the meal at all, but we did and while in the process the woman at the front desk asked us if we enjoyed the meal. We answered honestly: the chef/cook cannot execute a meal - we relayed what was overcooked and the poor quality of the fish. She actually acknowledged that "he (the chef) always undercooks the veggies", and "I don't know why he does that". We were amazed! We also told her about the shrimp and fish and she said that "when we tell the chef about the complaints he thinks he isn't doing anything wrong". Avoid this place - it is not worth your time, appetite, or money!
Absolutely the best home cooked meals.
We ordered omelets and diced potatoes...
Just reopened today after closing for Covid. Food was excellent as was the service. Prices still very reasonable. We'll be back!!
We've just moved to the area but have been to this restaurant with friends since Jan when coming down looking for place to live. The food is so so and I haven't been impressed with the level of service. They offer a wide variety of food, seafood, American, Chinese, ect. The prices is a little high on some things. Its okay if you just don't know what you want.

My wife and I went here for the first time at 8 pm on a Saturday night. Excellent food. I had fish filet with dirty rice and veggie medley. Received 2 large filets that was cooked perfectly. Moist and flakey. It also came with 3 jumbo grilled shrimp that was also good. My wife ordered the jumbo shrimp and really enjoyed them. Both meals came with veggie medley. I loved the veggies but they were to spicy for my wife. I ate her's too. Both meals were around $10. There was a buffet avaliable but it was closing down shortly after we arrived so we passed on the buffet. We love seafood but hate paying out the ying yang for it. This restaurant fits the bill. Will diffently return.
Had a business lunch and enjoyed the meal. The service was crisp and courteous. We both had shrimp and they were sweet and good..
I’ve had multiple dishes and they were all good. Definitely a place to eat out. If you’re looking for a good meal at a good price this is your place. Definitely recommend this place
I've been here 3 times, only for the lunch buffet which is pretty good and priced right. I think the owners are Asian--they do a good job of offering a variety of selections, some with Asian influences. Nice folks. And they keep the place clean. I don't live in Santa Fe or I would go more often. Worth a try.
Just a hometown restaurant with table service and a buffet for dinner. Food is pretty good, service is sometimes a little slow. We go there because it’s close to home & usually pretty quick.
