When we got here the place was packed, it’s around 10am. Tables opened up quickly and the staff was diligently helping seat everyone waiting. The food was delicious. We ordered biscuits and gravy which actually the best we’ve had in south texas. The mini fideo which was not mini, it was 16oz! The menudo needed nothing, lots of meat and not filled with hominy. This is a small restaurant with big flavor. A must stop if you’re in Brownsville!

I decided to order the fish and shrimp, hoping it would be a pleasant meal, as I have not had a complete meal in a while. After cutting into it, I must admit that it was not particularly enjoyable. The fish, unfortunately, tasted cold.

I was greatly disappointed, today, to find out they will no longer be serving red salsa, only the warm ranchero sauce which I did not like. It's meant more for breakfast food. The ranchero sauce made my Mexican feast taste awful. I really liked the flavor of the red salsa on my food and with the chips. I hope they bring it back soon. Please.

I’ve been here a handful of times and the food is consistently great. The service has always been good. One time I had a novice server so I had to cut her some slack. She still did pretty good. The price is a little higher than I like to spend but I don’t mind paying a little more for quality good and good service.
This place is spot for any of your hunger needs. A wide range of meal and breakfast all day. It is busy as it's gets so if you show up at peak times be prepared to wait. Coffee is excellent and huge size fountain drinks. Parking lot is a little small because it is shared with other businesses.

I work with life skills high school students, and we stopped for lunch today. Everyone had to pay separately and get a receipt, so it was a little complicated, however the service we received from beginning to end was outstanding, our server was Mary Z. and she was the best! She was kind to the kids and the attention was perfect! Both teachers and students were happy with the speed and quality of the food as well. Thank you Big Daddy's!

The food is always good, the service is always sweet but a little on the slow side, the real problem is the noise. It's SO loud in there. I think it has gotten louder since they closed in the wall where the second half of the restaurant used to be.
