“I only recommend "Yes" so that people can experience it for themselves. We've been a few times and the first time was a good experience. Perhaps it was first-time-new-experience excitement? The last two times seem to fall short in the flavor department. Food presentation is on-point, ambience is great, location is trendy, service is decent, but flavor on most dishes is lacking. If I'm paying $230.00+ for 4 people...flavor will be the one thing that will take me back. I'm not into the bells and whistles, although it is a nice touch. For that price, flavor needs to be a key factor. I had the Wagyu burger for the first time. The meat was incredibly tender and cooked as requested (medium), but no flavor. The burger "looked" great, but it was boring. Not to mention...it was very messy to eat. I wouldn't order this on a first date. For these reasons, I won't be rushing back. Thanks for the first few experiences as I feel everything else mentioned is good. I'm a foody on the hunt.”

“It is a place where you ask at the bar to go with your friends and have a good time, they have games like jumbo jenga in the center of the court, I went on a Wednesday and it was moderately busy, the international music was very varied and good DJ selections, atmosphere cheerful and calm, good service from the bartender, clean bathrooms, it is an excellent option to go have a good time and take some highly recommended Vegas shots!”

The selection of brews was really good, with some local brews and other variations. What we really liked was how quaint it was. We really dont care for the loud music and crazy party vibes other places do. This place had a perfect level of music so we could talk, up to date set up, and more personal atmosphere. Was perfect for us. I'm not sure what other days might be like, but this was a Monday. 2 meals, and about 3-4 drinks each came out to about 60 bucks, not including tip, fyi. It was a little pricey overall, but it was really nice, relaxing, and perfect for conversation with loved ones. I recommend this place and know we will be back when we are back in the town of tacos and potholes.”

We ordered the fried calamari, and fried fish botana for two with fish, shrimp, and oysters. You could immediately tell how fresh the seafood was from the first bite. The fried fish was spectacular, flaky and soft in the inside, and light and crispy on the outside. The flavor was so good, and I was surprised. I don't know if there was a change in management, but if you haven't been there lately you should give it another try. I hope this is not a one off so I'll be going back very soon.”

The authenticity of the food was beyond measurable and always left the customer satisfied. Those who knew of Sushi Bento’s existence were of the fortunate and privileged to have eaten at this special restaurant. I will forever keep the memories of being greeted and the delicious food that put me through my first years at the University of Texas at the Rio Grande Valley. The fried pork dumplings, Spicy Terry Bento, and the Togarishi Maki were my favorites from their menu. I was deeply saddened to know it is now permanently closed. This restaurant will be missed by many.”

“Best black coffee in town. Promptly got waters, the salt i asked for, the coffee…lemon ricotta pancakes were a big hit num1 recommendation. My dad liked his eggs benedict i thought it had a bad after taste and didnt have the typical lemony flavor, not typical period which is disappointing for me 3/5. The chilaquiles were great in a traditional taste sort of way 4.5/5. 4/5 meat lovers omlette.”
