I am sorry to say that this is the first 1-star review I give in Google.
Out of circumstance, I followed some friends to this place in North Brownsville. Though the drinks were alright and my friends and I were casually enjoying them in the outdoor patio, the young man who was precociously and cutely dressed as a police officer refused to let me in to use the restroom at around 1:20am.
Even after dozens of patrons had left the building, he still refused! My friends and I were having fun, but we weren't obnoxious at all. Even after asking nicely, no excuse or reason was given to deny me access to the facilities. I understand not allowing entry to new people after a certain time, but denying the restroom to a paying customer is unacceptable and indefensible.
It wasn’t until closing time that I asked still once more to use their restroom, to which they remarkably and boldly replied "Hay monte allá"/“There’s plenty of grass over there”, referring to the bushes behind the building. In shock, I replied "Eso no es de caballeros"/“That’s not a gentlemanly thing to suggest.” I went across the way to the Back Room bar who graciously allowed me to use their restroom, and I happily and voluntarily tipped them $20 in their jar for their generosity.
By far the worst experience I've had in ANY restaurant in my life. It could be true that their menu items are delicious, but this means nothing if they won't do the minimal basic decency to a paying customer. Support the Back Room instead.

I think the best part about this place was the restaurant itself. Other than that, it wasn't a very good first experience. When we walked in, a group of the employees were eating(which is fine), but they didn't look happy at all to see us walk in. Our waiter greeted us, but we felt like the rest were just giving us the stink eye. The charro beans tasted like just beans and water, and the tacos tasted like they were old meat. The waiter was attentive and made sure to remove any extra plates, however.. he just kind of stared at us from (not really) afar, and it made it uncomfortable. I understand having to keep an eye on your table, but it's a little weird when it's just straight🧍♂️.
We did end up eating everything out of hunger, but the food was disappointing. The revolver shot was definitely a plus, and would definitely recommend 👌

Ordered the ribeye steak medium rare, along with shrimp. It was the chewiest, stringiest, cheapest ribeye I’ve ever had, & a lot of it was nerve, fat & things that should have been trimmed off. The shrimp was also incredibly chewy & dry. 2 plates, 2 beers, an appetizer & $85 later, we left hungry & with our plates mostly untouched. The food was just bad. Bad quality, poor cooking, & the place is small so your waiter will check on you every 5 minutes once you’re served your food, attempting to rush you out the door to seat new guests.

Not all Tacos taste the same and this place is just awesome! Awesome drinks,Food,Music! This will be my go to place from now on!

Great dishes made from scratch. Arrachera Mochaete was delicious. Drinks are very good also. Excellent service and delicious food.
