I had heard a lot about Casa Antigua. We were told it had been completely remodeled. It used to be Las Brasa. We had to try it. Once we arrived I was immediately greeted by a super nice lady. (The place looks the same as it did before) The menu is simple but the taste of the food is great. Food was well cooked with just the right seasoning. Atmosphere is a little busy but the staff is courteous and fast. If you are looking for a sit down good meal, it's the perfect place especially if you are in a hurry. Two people great breakfast under $20.

Ok where should i start. Ok food is good, but for a 15.00 plate tampiquena is not worth it. To begin menu says all the items on my plate but does not specify items. Ex: the enchiladas well they are cut in half to fit plate. I may add shysty with the cheese and cold. It also said Chile torriado that didn't come, tortillas didn't come with the plate either she forgot or idk. The beef skirt way to thin for the price. Overall my plate was NOT worth the price thinknit over or make the plate different and Hot plz. The milanessa plate was NOT on menu had to ask if they served it. Still needed a bit frying was not Golden yet, was taken out way to soon so batter was still a bit white. It was thin as it ahould be but it was ok. Came with traditional fries, salad on side, which wasn't fresh was Bag salad you can taste it. The soda machine the soda was semi-Flat had to order canned. As far as waitress really never came around to ck on us, had to flag her down for napkins or whatever was needed. It's an experience but as for me i wont come back. For being only us 2 in the whole restaurant and food served cold not good. And service was not up to par. ? your choice to come and pay this overly priced foods.

Just had an amazing Lunch here today.Casa Antigua Restaurant & Grill is just spotless. I commented to the Owner that I have never seen a cleaner bathroom !!I had the Picadillo taco , it was delicious.Highly recommend. Our only regret is we didn’t have the fresh Seafood buffet. It looked awesome !!Always next time as we will be back !

The worst restaurant in Brownsville!!!! Prices are ridiculously expensive and the food is horrible. I had to give 1 star because there was not a no star availability. Don't waste your time here.

The food was not appetizing. I thought there was going to be mariscos on Friday of course with other food. No shrimp no cocktail. Only fish not what we expected. The online pictures for the food is nothing like we experienced. Friendly service but the food I can't return to that place

This restaurant is Horrible! My family of 6 went in for their breakfast buffet. They had very seldum items to choose from. They had over cooked winnie with eggs, watered down menudo, runny eggs rancheros, watery chicharrones en salsa. The food overall lacked flavor and the service was not great at all. Be ware the owner is the one that decides how much the tip amount will be. For a party of 6 (2 were children) for breakfast......$125.00!!!!!!

It’s a nice place, very clean and spacious. The food was good but I felt it was a bit overpriced. Not the typical restaurant you’ll find many elderly people having breakfast, some tend to look for the $3.99 breakfast with coffee included. That’s not the case here. The service was very warm & welcoming, the waitress was very attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a good experience.

DON’T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! There was only one person taking food orders. The pictures of the food on the menu is not what you actually get. The portions were so small. The tortillas for the enchiladas were half the size. It took forever for the food to come out. Worst experience I have ever had. Save yourself the trouble. Wish I had checked reviews before going.

Breakfast buffet was horrible! . we were expecting better food and service. Beans no taste, eggs were almost raw! No gorditas as it showed on their pics! Expensive as well! 30$ just two persons! I wont be going back... Thats for sure!

I don't even know where to begin with this restaurant!!! We decided to try this place out on Easter Sunday, there were two other tables with small parties. We had a party for 4. The waitress took forever to serve us, then when she did she brought us a bowl of salsa. We asked for some chips and were told they ran out. But when they brought my plate there was chips on it even though they claimed to not have any. We ordered our food and it took more than an hour to come out when it did only my 2 kids and I were served. My husband's plate never came out and I started to think they had forgotten or not placed the order. By the time his plate came out we were all finished eating. He was understandably upset and canceled his order. Instead of taking accountability for their wrong the manager instead blamed the waitress and said she was incompetent to do her job correctly which I found to be rude and unprofessional. Eat here at your own risk.
