Chilmoli Mexican Steakhouse

From the moment we walked in we were greeted and attended by our waiters who explained the menu very well. The food was very flavorful and the menu options were many. The wagyu Burger and Matamoros tacos were amazing. Highly recommend would go again.

The food is good, and I understand that the prices are high due to the quality. But isn’t that enough? They include service fees as mandatory charges, which they label that way instead of calling it a tip something you only notice if you carefully check the receipt. Moreover, they don’t provide a paper receipt; it only appears on the device the waiter brings to you for payment. This same device asks you to add a tip again, as if it hadn’t already been charged. If you don’t ask or double check, you end up paying an additional **40%** To me, that’s a way of stealing. Honestly, I don’t think a place like this needs to resort to such practices. Do they really think this is necessary? It **Really makes you think**

Definitely a great restaurant, very expensive but great quality. Luckily, not too many people when we visited which allowed us to fully enjoy the place.

Food is really good and fresh, though you can’t make any modifications to the foods.

Staff are really good about allergies, I am severely lactose intolerant and they made sure on several occasions to help me avoid items with diary.

It’s definitely worth trying at least once.

Very rare I will give such a high rating but the food, service, and atmosphere were equally amazing. Best restaurant I’ve been to in the 8yrs I lived inn in the RGV. Awesome experience.

Excelent dining experience, one of the best steaks I have ever had at a restaurant, the sauces were amazing and the servers were very friendly and eager to help. Great place to celebrate any important event and is one of the few fine dining experiences in town. Highly recommended!
Update: The shrimp aguachile are amazing! My wife and I shared an order as an appetizer they really are something else.

Definitely one of the more elevated food experiences in Brownsville and while yes, it is pricey, it's definitely worth it if you're looking for an amazing night out! The food was fantastic and every course was better than the last. The only negative comment I have is that they could have bused the tables more frequently, but other than that the service was great! For appetizers, I would recommend the Queso Birria (which was my personal favorite) as well as the Heirloom tomato Burrata. I got the ribeye and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly! I also got to try the Picanha and the wagu beef tiradito both which were excellent. Will definitely go back and would recommend this place to anyone looking to splurge on and experience!

The service and food were wonderful. They can make salsa st your table side to the heat you want. Everything was cooked perfectly. The first time in my life I enjoyed beets. The octopus was done to perfection. The steak had a light char on the outside and cooked as ordered on the inside.

Chilmoli Mexican Steakhouse: A Must-Visit in Brownsville

Tonight, we had the pleasure of dining at Chilmoli Mexican Steakhouse, and it was an unforgettable experience. Though we arrived right after the kitchen had closed, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The kitchen graciously agreed to prepare a few items, and we were able to enjoy some tacos and guacamole at the bar.

The guacamole with chicharrón was a standout! From the dramatic presentation to the rich flavors, it was perfect in every way. As for the tacos, I opted for the bone marrow and ribeye—easily some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Not only were they visually stunning, but the taste was even better!

The service was equally outstanding. Our waitress, Rhomee, was kind, attentive, and played a huge part in making the experience so enjoyable.

Chilmoli Mexican Steakhouse is truly a gem. With amazing food and top-notch service, it’s a restaurant I highly recommend. I can’t wait to return to Brownsville for another meal here!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The quality of the products was outstanding, and the dishes were absolutely delicious.
