The brown sugar cinnamon tortillas make the entire trip worth it! We just happened to stumble across this place while heading to the border. The food is awesome! Such a great hidden gem.
We used to go more often. Like everywhere else, the prices have gone up.
However, when this place charged me .25 cents for a piece of foil paper to wrap my half left-over taco, that was way over the top for me.

My favorite childhood memory is my late father waking me up early on a Sunday morning to have breakfast with him at this place. We used to eat at this restaurant when it was El Torito in their own, standalone building in the 90’s and followed them when they moved to this location at the Days Inn. Every time my family visits from Houston, we stop here for breakfast - their refried beans and tortillas are addicting. I stopped here twice during our last visit and ordered 5 refried...
