First time was good experience and owner had smaller portions of cookies available. Second visit not good experience at all. The store had no smaller portion options and only giant boxes of cookies and giant cakes. In modern society people want smaller portion options. I asked worker during second visit if I could buy a smaller box of cookies (allowed during first visit) and she said no. I don't recommend this place. I strongly don't recommend a business that only sales in bulk foods. This is promoting overindulgence and is not customer friendly

This place is very good. When I'm needing Asian food this is where I will go to in Brownsville. The food is very good and so full of flavor. Coming from a bigger city and having more food diversity, this is a much needed food oasis for me. Thank you for being here!!!

Stopped in late for dessert. The single serving cheese cake was good. Next time I will go earlier so there are more choices.

i visit with my family because they love the food, i have to say i was happy with everything i tried, just beware if you don't like super spicy food, then don't ask for spicy in any level, there spice is really hot. My only complain will be about their drinks, they didn't had all drink on stock and we didn't visit that late we went for lunch 12-1pm and we where the only people at the place, so they might not restock their supplies daily.

I ordered pad Thai. I asked if I could have only white meat chicken and they were not able to accommodate even tho I did NOT get the shrimp. The taste of the food was good, flavorful. The service was meh. You cannot add gratuity to a card - CASH ONLY!

Tried this place when we came across it on yelp and it didn't disappoint! We got some dumplings and bao's! They were both delicious and the food was out really quick too! The staff was friendly and helpful, will definitely go back there for more!

Customer service was not great. However, the place was very clean and organized. I got a cheesecake, and it was alright. The crust was too thin for my liking. Probably would not return.

We ordered take-out for the office, and the dishes received all-around good reviews. I personally tried the Korean Spicy Beef Ramen. The broth was flavorful, and the ingredients seemed fresh. Their diverse menu expands Southeast Asia; it's easy to find something you might like, and yet challenging to pick just one entree! The Rio Grande Valley certainly isn't known for ramen or pho; in my opinion, it would be unfair to compare this place to a hole in the wall spot on Bellaire in Houston. That experience would probably be more authentic, but for Brownsville, Bara is a unique taste worth trying at least once.

I am from out of town for the job and came to Bara for lunch. I was not disappointed at all, as a matter of fact, pleasantly surprised!

Stumbled across this local gem when a craving for something warm and spicy kicked in, and the results did not disappoint. The interior of the restaurant is small and tidy, with lots of natural light and relaxing music. Service was prompt and courteous, and complimentary crisps came with my order, which were tasty.

The food is authentic and very tasty! Awesome mango sticky rice. I did not expect much for the chicken ramen but it turns out as good as Japanese ramen. The lamb skewer is good, but a bit too dry, can't really tell it's the lamb. I had a lot of Thai grilled skewers before and this tastes very similar, including the sauce.
