Came here because burgers came highly recommended!! I got the cheeseburger with ham. Added avocado for 75cents extra. Chili cheese fries. The cheeseburger was definitely a 10. Usually adding avocado to a hamburger comes with a ridiculous up charge, not here. The burger did not slide all over the place like most burgers that have avocado. Chili cheese fries were ok. I wish it had a bit more chili. Prices are very affordable. Paid about $13 for my whole meal, i added a mexican coke as well.

I really liked this place the burgers are so good & it’s cheap as well. The meat seems like if they prepare it there so it has lot of flavor. The burgers aren’t that big but definitely worth it. As the picky person i am I actually liked their fries very fresh.

It's a small place, service is fast, food is served hot & delicious, it was my first time there, but I already know I'll be going back. The burgers are delicious.Parking: Plenty of places to park its gated & has disabled parking spaces

A friend invited me to have lunch at La Guerra Hamburgers and the moment I took a bite from my burger, I recognized the burger. The taste was unforgettable, it was Rutledge burgers, no doubt about it.I was taken back to my younger years when my mom would shop for hours and I a kid was pulled around by the hand. My mother would finally come to rest at Rutledge for burgers,chips and can soda. In the 70s downtown Brownsville was the mall.I'll never forget the owners, the old white lady in her 70s with bright red hair and mean look, and her son who was balding at the crown, and both dressed in white uniforms. The tiny restaurant and the burgers bring back many meaningful memories.
