Hadn’t been to Luby‘s in years and I was reminded that I used to love this place when I was a kid. I have the country-fried steak combo which came with two sides and bread. This cafeteria style place still has a variety of things in the menu that fall into the bucket of home-cooked meals and I really appreciate the nostalgia and the tastes. Mashed potatoes with cream gravy for the win!

For slightly above average cafeteria food lubys is not what it once was....food is extremely over priced...your better off going to a Texas Roadhouse and getting an 11oz steak or a buffet to get the best bang for your buck. 1 person came out to 20usd.... I had chicken ,spinach, and Greenbeans with 2 jalapeños and bottled water.... you can get 1 buffet at Lins or Ocean for 20usd.... they need to lower their prices before they go out of business. If you need to lower prices we'll i saw a bunch of employees on the line with only 2 customers when I arrived...what are you paying them for?? Staring?? I'm sorry but you can run the line with maybe 2 you don't need a person for every type of food. Wake up.

The fish soup yesterday was not even warm and lately the food is salty.
We went again yesterday the red potato and fried okra were very salty. Also the people sitting next to us also said the food was salty. What do you plan to do. Thank you

So many fried fish should not be made beforehand so that it may be fresh and hot. Instead of it being moist and warm (it should be freshly fried)... Everything else was awesome.

The place looks old. Also, the plates and glasses need a change. The cleaning of the tables was to slow, we had to wait about 5 mins before someone came to clean our table so we could sit down and eat.
