Went in by myself without a reservation on a Wednesday night and the manager was very nice and accommodating to me, he let me get a table to watch the sunset while Salvador treated me to 5 star service!! I ordered a tamarindo margarita and I told Salvador to surprise me with the second one so he brought me a cucumber margarita and they both were absolutely prefect. Y'all made my evening and have made a return customer out of me, I will be back on my next trip to Brownsville....
We've been to this place many times. Even after sampling the new downtown restaurants this was still the best place in Brownsville for fine dining. This time though the meal was not quite up to par. Let me say first that Mario provided excellent service. The food, however, was not quite what we're used to at this place. Not sure if they have a new chef since our last time there. The lamb's crust seemed to be slathered on and not quite right. My steak was cooked...
Beautiful place. Great service. Only had the grilled octopus and a glass of wine... they have a decent wine list. Octopus was average to me, but may have just been me. I will be back.
