Mr. Taco used to be really good and one of the best tacos in Brownsville, after covid their tacos do not taste the same. I visited the location on Ruben Torres through Drive Thru and the lady that assisted me had zero customer service skills. The bare minimum the worker can do is acknowledge me as a customer.

Do not recommend this place at all. My meat in my tacos was cold. The tortillas itself wasn’t even warm. The charro beans were slightly warm as soon as you ate them half way they were cold. Worst experience ever for a taco place. Tacos are made fresh daily they should be served hot and fresh.

My favorite tacqueria in the area! Flavorful meat, tasty beans, and abundant toppings. The bistec is delicious, but so are the pastor, barbacoa, and birria tacos. The lemonade is also very good when it's available. They also have the Mexican coke in the glass bottle. Try the frijoles especiales, tacos de pastor and a bit of the green salsa!

The food was very average. The frijoles especially where almost cold after warming up they were really good. A little greasy but I enjoyed them. The tacos were ok the tortias where a little oily but tasted good. For three orders and two frijoles especially it came out to almost 40 bucks the price didn't fit the meal. They do have a drive through if your in a hurry.
