Inexperienced waitresses and manager was lost. However, they were very nice and eager to make your experience a pleasant one. Food was okay. The Ramen noodles were okay but the pork was crispy and juicy. The lemon with mineral water was watered down. I enjoyed my visit.

BEAUTIFUL restaurant! I was a fan of Nikkori in Matamoros back in the 90's and the nostalgia hit as soon as I opened the door. I am not a fan of Maki rolls but they do have a large selection of Jap-Mex fusion rolls. I ordered a few Nigiris of Tuna and Salmon with thier fried rice and a craft of Sake... BEST Japanese meal you can find in Brownsville!

Overall, this place is overpriced for what you get. The service took forever… our server was sweet, but everything just moved so slowly. They brought out one roll and then we waited about 20 minutes for the rest of our order.
When the food finally came, it wasn’t even correct. My Kani Krunch had no crunch and no eel sauce. I also ordered a White Russian that tasted like straight rubbing alcohol from being heavily over-poured.
Honestly, I wouldn’t come back, especially for the price. I get better food, better service, and much more value at Umiya, and it’s worth the drive.

I have never been to a place with such beautiful people and their service. I recommend this place in an absolutely 💯 authentic quality in all aspects!

It was all wrong from the beginning. We asked for beers and they ask us if we wanted straws for them lol. We then ordered appetizers, fried mozzarella and Gyoza, and they were cold as can be. Mozzarella was served with ketchup instead of the listed sauce and we asked for it to be changed. We didnt return them because we hate to complain unless it really really merits it. We later ordered 3 rolls. They brought 2 rolls out and they were totally wrong, not even close to the description. The waitress confessed she had put in the order wrong for one of them but the other was not even as described either. We paid for what we consumed and left. What looked to be the owner, didnt even acknowledge the errors on their part. Now that I look at the recent reviews, we probably shouldn't have gone. The first time was fine, nothing special, but we wanted to give it a second chance. I feel management should have taken some accountability but instead we just got a bit of attitude from the waitress.

We decided to give this place two tries. On our first visit, one of my rolls wasn’t cut, but they seemed quite busy, so we decided to return and try again. On our second visit, we ordered appetizers (gyoza and mozzarella kushiage). Unfortunately, the gyoza arrived cold, and the mozzarella kushiage, which was listed as being served with a chipotle or sweet dipping sauce, came instead with a small cup of ketchup.
We also ordered three rolls, and none of them matched the descriptions on the menu. I even reordered a roll I had enjoyed on my first visit, but it was completely different this time. Consistency is such an important part of a good dining experience, recipe books and standard operating procedures exist for that very reason.
Overall, the staff was polite and the atmosphere nice, but the inconsistency in food preparation and presentation was disappointing. I truly hope management can address this, because the concept and menu have great potential if consistency improves.
My husband and I went on a Friday night. Our wait was less than 15 min which was great. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive. I do recommend and I will go again.

We had a great experience at Nikkori! The design of the restaurant is very nicely done. The service was good and the food and drinks were great. We especially liked the shrimp appetizer and the presentation of all food plates and drinks. Will be going back very soon.
