This is an update from my below review. I have received a credit to my account for my meal mishap . THANKYOU Russo’s for making it right!This was our first visit and Russo’s , they came highly recommended. Cozy restaurant , warm feeling as soon as you came in the door. Pleasantly greeted , quickly seated.Great menu, being raised Italian I am picky about eating Italian food out.Our table ordered pasta dishes, I was impressed they make homemade pasta! I ordered Malfaldine Carbonara , and when my dish came I knew immediately it was Fettuccine Alfredo. My server took it back to the kitchen , brought it back to me and said I was accidentally given Fettuccine (not what I ordered) and my waiter insisted it was Carbonara. I know the difference, it had no pancetta no red onions. Instead of making a fuss since we were with another couple, I kept my dish. I did however let the waiter know , this was not my order and was not pleased the kitchen did not fix their mistake.A good waiter or waitress would have made adjustments.When our bill came not only no corrections, but an 18% tip was automatically added for large party. Large party? 4 people? I always tip well, however the error justified nothing more .

Right of the bat, there is a pungent smell of uncleanness. It made the dining experience unpleasent. The smell resonated with whatever they used to mask the smell. The bar and table were sticky. Just plain no to the ambiance.The penne pasta was watery and decided not to try anything else after that point.I will say the server was great. Only good thing from the visit.

Great food but the worst service, our waitress was the hostess, brought out half the food then forgot about the rest of our order, it wasn’t her fault, you could see a manager and a waiter at the front standing around at the front talking the whole time and not assisting where it was needed. The food we got was great but took the order when it finally came out home.

Pizza was good. Nice quality ingredients and fun combinations. I loved the prosciutto with arugala and fig sauce. My husband said his was a little soggy on the bottom. Our waitress, Rebecca, was awesome! The place seemed clean and well decorated. But!!!! We were just as disappointed as the last time we came, which has been some time ago. We used to be regulars until the music was changed. When you go to a nice Italian restaurant you expect the whole package, including Italian or Rat Pack music. The music during our meal was anything but relaxing. Forget sitting and enjoying a glass of wine. You will want to leave as soon as possible.
We had my daughter's 16th birthday dinner in the big room and it was a wonderful experience! Abraham, the manager and Lluvia our host were amazing! They really made sure we were satisfied at all times with the service. I will definitely book again!! Loved it!

I love how staff members accommodate to our needs. My brother with special needs had an amazing birthday gathering. Thank you Abraham for making the pizza class/birthday party ever. No where in brownsville will you find a place to provide this experience. 100% recommend asking for Abraham the amazing manager and ask about a pizza class party! You won't regret it?
