An original as they have not changed their way of operating since 1922! Love the story behind this place and we will be eating here again before we leave town! Truly one of a kind!
I finally tried their hamburgers after living in Brownsville for 52 years. I was surely missing out. The burgers are simple but full of flavor. The menu is simple. No french fries. They do sell small bags of chips. The location is just a hallway with nine half tables protruding from either wall which accommodate one person on either side. I took my order to go and enjoyed the burgers at home because the inside felt hot and stuffy even though they had air conditioning and ceiling...
Small spot, small burgers, big flavor. You will definitely want to order two burgers, but you won’t be mad about it. The restaurant itself is literally a hallway with tables on each side. Seats probably 20 people at the most. The service is fast, but friendly. Worth a stop if you’re in Brownsville.
