The service was good and so was the coffee. It took almost 25 minutes to get my food and it just wasn't what I expected. It was for pricey for the portion size and the Salomon was suuuper fishy. I'm not sure I would try this place again.

UPDATE: Went back to Sunrise, and the food was amazing. I'm glad that I went back, and hopefully the first experience was a one-time fluke. The steak and eggs were perfect, and the eggs royale or eggs benedict were delicious. Pumpkin waffles were a perfect end to the breakfast! Highly recommend this place for special days and treating yourself.

First time eating at Sunrise Cafe, and I order a coffee and the French toast. The coffee was good and the French toast was amazing! It was cooked perfectly with a blueberry compite and this wonderful lemon marscapone cream on top! It does come with a side of syrup, but I personally felt the syrup was not needed! Come check it out because this is probably my new breakfast/brunch place in Brownsville, TX. So I ate at Sunrise again and had the Pumpkin Waffles! They are topped with pecans and this delightful praline sauce. There is something about the flavors that really excite the pallet!! I recommend no syrup with this dish as well. sunrise Cade may be a place that does not have a bad dish! Also, the Chef and the staff are wonderful. They listen and truly want the customer's feedback!

(Posted on Yelp too) The only reason this is 3 stars and not lower is because of the friendly waitress that was being overworked as she took care of ALL the customers, by herself. Went in excited to try this new place, but was disappointed to find out that only 3 options from the menu were available, with them having run out of what seemed to be everything but egg. Worse off was that this was only 2.5 hours after they opened, right in the middle of the breakfast rush. Had their coffee and left, but I really want to give them another chance. Will update if anything changes next time.

Was really looking forward to this place cause I had been wanting to try it out for some time. The place was packed when we got there but our friendly waiter helped us. When we were about to order we were informed that they were out of avocado and other foods, that basically left us with three options (the menu only has like 10?ish options). We ordered a coffee and that was it and soon left. The waiter was great, she was very sweet and helpful despite being the only worker serving 6 tables.

We went in after seeing all the good reviews and nice pictures. Our waiter was friendly and nice. After we ordered, the waiter came back 5 minutes later to let us know they were out of the French Toast. After placing our new order, we waited. And WAITED. 30 minutes went by, but after about 40 minutes we got up and asked the waiter what was taking so long. He said they were out of eggs!! How unfortunate - we just left.

This is a great place to enjoy your food... Presentation, service and food were excellent. I have a breakfast meeting there, my client and I were very pleased with the food and our waitress. We both ordered Chilaquiles and Coffee and we both made the same comment "My Chilaquiles are really good" I have to come and try a different item from the menu, I'm sure it will be another good experience. Incredibly delicious food in a cozy and bright atmosphere plus extremely friendly service! It's definitely one of the BEST places for brunch in the entire RGV! The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, the French toast and deviled eggs we had on our first visit were exceptional! I'm returning to Sunrise Cafe as often as possible! The best place for weekend brunching!

I would like to be able to say I got the chance to taste their food but that won't be happening. There are people inside at the tables, according to their hours they are open but the door is locked. I was seen trying to open the door but what appears to be the staff did nothing.
