This past weekend the Tacos El Gordo Family served at my son’s second birthday. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Their food was EXCEPTIONAL! Everyone at the party wouldn’t stop raving about how delicious the food was! But the one thing that’s really worth noting was their amazing customer service - their kindness, their humor, their professionalism. They KINDLY allowed us to add 10 more people to the guest list last minute. When it started pouring, the owner’s son went out of his way to grab an umbrella for one our guests who was trapped under their tent and walked her to wear the party was. A company can have good food but poor service. But Tacos El Gordo was amazing all around! I hope to have them again in the future.

I tried the food at the farmers market in Beloit, ordered what I thought was multiple tacos and a drink. open the plate that was covered in foil to discover 1 taco, which was not hot lukewarm at best. $4 for 1 taco is insane though it was good I don't think I'd get it again

Super bad experience food is so bad and very bland. When you say carne desebrada on a toatada you expect shreaded meat this was no carne desebrada it was so bad I didn't eat my food. The beans they give you are so old. You know when you cook charro beans has a nice color to the soup and texture this was darker and beans taste old as if they sit there so long before they decide to make them and hean gets old IYKYK. As far as the bistec tacos, meat tasted old as if in the freezer and got the taste of freezer burn. It was a no in all levels. I won't go back and wouldn't recommend this place, and the prices are definitely NOT worth it.

great tacos, the asada was crispy on the outside and so flavorful. they gave me extra piñita and cebollita asada. all the tacos I ate were awesome, the tostadas were LOADED and the service was good, the guys were so nice and everyone spoke spanish wich is great.

Ordered the carne asada tacos…very bland unseasoned steak topped with a bland salsa onions and cilantro. Wasn’t terrible, but absolutely NOT worth the hype. They’re more focused on quantity than quality, but I assume with the volume of people that walk through the doors the business model works. Most will never visit again as they’re tourists. They get their money and move on. We were perfect examples of that.

We went to the Sunset blvd location across from the Town Square shopping center. At the start its best to go with someone who has already eaten here so that they can guide you through the very strange & chaotic ordering process. You will also need someone to explain to you that items like a tostada or quesadilla is not like any other tostada or quesadilla you've had before. Prices are on the high side considering the small portions and if you come at busy times be prepared to wait in several long lines. Seating area is large but loud. I suspect this place was just to "authentic" for us as we would never order the brain, tripe or eyeball meat selections. Our advice, give them a try at least once. Perhaps you'll love the food but for us we do not foresee a return visit which is sad as they are conveniently located just off Las Vegas Boulevard.

The al pastor tacos were INCREDIBLE. The carne asada tacos were fantastic. The azteca taco was good, and the tongue/intestines ones were bland.

Check your receipt before leaving the cashier. The register total is not visible and I neglected to check my receipt until after I had left the restaurant. Significantly over-charged.

Tacos where cold and also tasted like burned . They took about 25 to 30 minutes to give me my order. Also they served the people who came in later first instead of giving the orders to me first to go. Beans were good and hot.
