Tacos Puente Viejo, Brownsville

My corn tortillas were hard as a rock I couldn't even really eat them, the place like nice and had a good atmosphere though

Can someone tell me if these tacos are the same owners from the taco stand that where after your crossed the puente nuevo where the peseras stop where?

Because it is my first time at tacos El Puente Viejo, the tacos are horrible, I do not recommend these tacos, the steak tacos, the meat is very hard, the shredded meat ones, the tortilla is very watery, the charra beans are also hard, the only thing I liked was that The girl who helped me had a nice character. That's all in general. I didn't like it at all. I won't return.

Born and raised in Brownsville, live in Houston now, the only thing I want to do when I come down to the valley is eat me some good tacos and get the friendly smile and atmosphere that I remember…. Well….I came here by accident, I was looking for another taco place but decided to order anyways. I was very disappointed that they didn’t even greet me and the attitude of the girl at the front ( Sophia,name on the receipt) was non friendly at all. Asking questions about how they did their orders or add ons was like a bother. I ordered anyways. Once I came back in to get my order I stood in front and had to ask her if the bag on the counter was my order which she just shook her head , didn’t even get a thank you.

The atmosphere was very eh. No music, no smiles. If you walk in there, expect to not be acknowledged.

I walk next-door to the snow one place next to ask about the other tacos and saw at the corner of my eye, the original place I was looking for… (Tacos Plaza) Completely different attitude. Got greeted by the man taking the orders was very polite. We had a long conversation about food places we visited. I’ll be putting a great review for them.

Bottom line don’t waste your time or money at this place

They seemed to have fixed the place up. Looks nice. My usual is tacos de harina with queso fresco, avocado, and cilantro. It's always super good 👌

Good tacos. Each taco served with lots of meat. I dined in and they played too much banda music, so next time I'll order to go.

Terrible service, several times I ask for takeout orders and they do what they want but this was the worst, the hard tacos arrived as if they didn't heat the tortilla and the ones that didn't have to have onion were poorly served, they came with onion, everything was ugly, last time I bought I like them a lot there but I prefer to go to Matamoros for them

They remodeled the place so pretty!! Food tastes soo good!!
