First time here and I wish I could rave about the food but the fish tacos were yuck and the fries were old and cold, we tried the jalapeño poppers and they were sonic so very disappointing in all. The manager did ask us about our food and I mentioned the fries were cold and he was going to g to bring some hot fresh but we said no worries.

This place was recently renovated! Absolutely gorgeous. The pictures have to be updated on the site, but the carpet is gone (awesome) the ceiling tiles are new and the interior is no longer dark! It’s a gorgeous nautical blue and white. My husband and I came late and our service was still top notch. The owner came over to let us know to take our time enjoying our meal. And that really was much appreciated. If you haven’t been in a while, give it another go! You won’t be disappointed.

Seafood and service has ALWAYS been the best in Brownsville! Congratulations on a great remodeling. The place looks so refreshed and the ambience has improved exponentially. My hope is that Brownsville embraces this local jewel again. Kudos to the Gonzalez/Barrientes family.

Servers Carla and Genaro were wonderful. My family celebrated my grandfather’s birthday dinner in the new private room. The space was enough to fit a good amount of people. The owners kindly allowed us to surprise my grandfather with mariachis in the closed space. My grandfather was extremely happy and sang along which made the dinner even more memorable. This place has been my favorite since childhood. Whenever I visit my hometown, I make sure to eat here. ? However, they do charge more for takeout orders without telling you. ? That’s why I gave them four stars instead of five.

This place used to be good, it is there and has been in the same location on Paredes rd. for year. The shrimp has been shrinking in size by the month. It used to be jumbo size now it is close to becoming popcorn shrimp. Better to go eat at the island just over 20 minutes away for the same price and better quality.

Never again. Reheated dark brown rolls. Dark brown! Yea so was my day old baked potato. Soda pop was all carbonation. Horrible horrible. Do not go there. This place went south years ago. Not within the year. They were good back in the day. Mgr is not mgr. It's the owner. He's rude. Staff looks miserable as well. Will look for shrimp elsewhere. These are popcorn shrimp.
