Toscafino has long been one of our most favorite restaurants to have dinner. It’s perfect for date night, girl’s night, or even an early business meeting. We can honestly say we have never been disappointed with our food and especially with the service. Our favorite has to be Mr. Montoya who always goes above and beyond to make sure our entire visit is perfect. We love that we can always count on Toscafino for a good meal and a good time.Kid-friendliness: I took my 8 year old son for dessert after a Mother/Son dance, and Mr. Montoya and staff were so sweet and kind to him treating him like a little gentleman. He felt incredibly special.

What an UNFORGETTABLE early dinner on a Monday! We gladly took advantage of the early bird 1/2 price appetizers offered. After an 8 hour day on our feet birdwatching & eating only fruit/nuts for lunch, we were hungry. We chose to try this Italian restaurant. They welcomed us with smiles & service was efficient, friendly & fast. The complementary basket of thin focaccia strips was unusual & we enjoyed dipping them into the plate of olive oil with balsamic. My appetizer shrimp/fish ceviche was HUGE as was my spouses beef carpaccio. We’ve been to Italy 2 times & he felt this was the BEST he’s ever had! My shrimp/salmon meal with grilled vegetables also was huge so I took home half my meal. The rib eye steak with angel hair & alfredo sauce was devoured by my hungry hubby. Yes, we ended with the molten chocolate cake which was crisp on the outside & oozing chocolate which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle of chocolate and a cherry on top…oh my goodness!Parking: Restaurant is in a strip mall so parking all around.Wheelchair accessibility: One step up from the paved parking area to get into the restaurant

Went for half price appetizers at 5pm on a Wednesday. Menu said half price appetizers are Monday-Friday from 4-7pm. Was charged full price. Said they were unable to rectify because I had already given them my card before I noticed.

Foodies foodies rejoice! I was back in my hometown of Brownsville. Texas and decided to drop by and try Toscafinos. With its sleek modern upscale with beverage and food choices that home, I opted to start my evening off with a house margarita(on the rocks for me) and the ribeye aguachile for an appetizer. They staff breaks out and pairs the Agua Chile with an amazing flat bread and tostada combo which rocked my world! The delicately sliced med to med rare ribeye was super tender as it sits on a base of amazing Agua Chile sauce. Super divine! I opted to go for the spinach and pear salad and ordered their fantastic pepperoni pizza to try out. The spinach salad included candied pecans which were an amazing textural experience and was lightly lightly dressed. This salad typically gets gorgonzola cheese but I opted for mozzarella. The pepperoni pizza had an awesome awesome crispy crust with just the right amount of mozzarella and pepperoni! A must try...check out Toscafino next time you are in the north Brownsville area off of I-69 East. PS...leave room for dessert!!!!

Ordered medium rare , came out well done twice. Im never that picky when it comes to food. But for the price ? I expect more. Eat at roadhouse better steak and cheaper prices. Good service , not that good food.
