I went in there on a Friday evening. I expected it to be busy. Only four people were eating. A total of eight people, including myself, waited in line so that we could order inside. Meanwhile, a line of cars wrapped around the outside for the drive-through. Two employees were in the kitchen, taking the orders. One employee was waiting on the long line of cars in the drive-through. The only other two employees were out in the front parking lot changing the sign. The sign is manual, mind you. People in line remarked about The two guys changing the sign instead of inside, waiting on the long line of customers. A man eating a taco at one of the tables told us that it took him 30 minutes just to get a taco. I decided that, once again, this has happened before, I had made a mistake. So, I went down Texas Avenue to the other Dairy Queen, the one beside William Joel O'Brien. I'm telling you, in a nutshell, that Highway 21 Dairy Queen, their service is the worst I've ever seen. I'm only giving them one star for atmosphere, and that's only because I got a kick out of the people in line talking about how the two guys were changing the sign and how that was more important than waiting on the people inside. It's going to be a good while before I work up the nerve to go back to that place again. I'll just go to the one on Texas Avenue.

Terrible service. Will not go to this location again.
Edit: In response to the DQ account, I have been to this location easily five times in the past two months and I'm just done. I've been told that they can't make moolattes because "the espresso machine is broken" on three separate occasions. I know y'all use coffee syrup to make them, so what's this about an espresso machine? I was not trying to get something made right before closing, I was coming in between the hours of 5:30 and 8 when the store closes at 10. When I was able to get one, it tasted extremely strongly of mint and had no coffee whatsoever. I verified this with my husband, who loves mint, doesn't like coffee, and ended up being the one who ate it. After that, I just gave up on trying to get a moolatte here.

The night I originally wrote this review, not only did it take over 20 minutes to get food, but I got to watch the drive-thru cashier sing and dance the whole time. The reason they had trouble understanding my order over the speaker appeared to be due to the fact that they had an air pod in on the ear that was not occupied by the drive-thru headset. The music was going loud enough that I could hear it when the window opened and had to lunge for my food because they let go of it the instant the front edge of the bag cleared the side of my car.

Went on a Friday night after a long work day. Placed my order at 10:08pm. Still waiting for food at 10:40pm. Asked the young lady who brought out my ice cream to not serve that until my hat food arrived. She copped an attitude, but then said she would make me new ones. I had to hand over my receipt at one point, as they could not remember the whole order. Franchise owner: Friday night is not the time to staff newbies.

Showed up 15 mins before close. They ignored our car at the drive through. When I entered the lobby I was told they weren't serving ice cream because they were cleaning the ice cream machine. I asked them if they were trying to get out early and one of the workers got very aggressive and told me there ice cream machine was broken, and they weren't cleaning it. Won't be eating here again.

I do not recommend this place, they took my order and forgot about it, it was waiting for 20 minutes until I got angry and asked for my order, they never made it and I asked for my money after very annoying, terrible service

I do not recommend this Diary Queen at all! My family and I went there just for ice cream and it took forever. We ended up having to leave and knew it would take even longer to get a refund, so my mother asked if we could come back with our receipt the next day for the refund. She was very rudely told by one of the managers that they could not do this. This location needs to work on their customer service. If your higher ups like a manager is rude to the customer, how do you expect the staff to give good customer service?! Definitely will not be coming to this location again for sure!

I went through the drive through and the lady asked me if I wanted to make a donation. I told her no since the food and money was not my. I was getting food for a friend. The lady proceeded to put that donation in. The food was also incorrect. When I called up there to fix the issue I asked for a manger and the person that picked up the phone said she isn’t available… I again asked for a manager knowing I would need the manger to get a refund and then she has the phone to someone else (the same person who took my order and debit card) she was rushing me and not being respectful.

Bottom line is most issues would be solved if they had one more person working. 745pm on a Sunday and the I believe 3 people working were OVERWHELMED. Girl working the register could benefit from some training on how to communicate, but honestly I think she was just too overwhelmed. These are all Managment issues. I’d come back but man I hope they can get staffed a little better.

First time here ever as I’m staying in the hotel next door and I am happily greeted by the entire staff when I come in. The lady in the front is the sweetest and she takes my order and asks if I’m doing well. I had a tough day at work and her smile made my day. The place is really clean and the young ladies helping the lady worked non stop cleaning and taking orders. The food tasted different than I was used to at other places, but in a good way!

The doors have the classic DQ Country spoons as handles and the place here is superb!

I highly recommend this Dairy Queen!
