“My wife and I ate here tonight 12/29/2025. We were greeted immediately upon entering and were seated quickly. Our waitress was Lauren who was at our table after being seated. She provided excellent service and is very knowledgeable of the menu, and made great recommendations for our meal. We both had the 10 ounce sirloin steaks that were grilled to perfection. Lauren checked on us routinely to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks again for a great dinner !!!”

“First time ordering food . A local since 2005 it took us a long time but my husband finally took me there. Originally from Chicago we wanted a Reuben and so far no good ones here. Until Readfields it was delicious !! The marble rye , homemade thousand island crunchy sauerkraut I’m thinking homemade as well. Then the corn beef as good if not better then Chi town. Price was low as the sandwich was enough for 2 meals. We will keep Reidfields a weekly tradition, we still have to explore the amazing meats cheeses etc. the store has offer. Make this a place your entire family will enjoy 😊”

“We had dinner at the Messina Hof restaurant in College Station recently, and honestly, it was an easy five-star experience. The atmosphere was great, but the food and the service were really what made the night stand out.

We started off with a Caesar salad, which was super fresh, crisp, and had just the right amount of dressing. For our mains, we went with the salmon and the pasta. Both dishes came out perfectly cooked and were absolutely delicious. The real highlight of the meal, though, was the Zinfandel we ordered. It was amazing and paired incredibly well with everything we ate—I highly recommend grabbing a glass or a bottle if you go.

A huge shoutout to our server, Ashlyn, who really took the experience to the next level. She was so friendly, perfectly attentive without hovering, and just made sure we had a great time all night. Between the fantastic food, the great wine, and Ashlyn’s top-notch service, we couldn't have asked for a better dinner. We will definitely be back!”

I paid $4 for one breakfast mixed with two ingredients ,refried beans with chorizo and egg and boy was it stacked and full of sabor. I got full just off one and yes they do serve lunch and dinner either tacos or plates for either take out or dining in. The atmosphere here was great with no wait time either. It is wheelchair accessible with plenty of parking. handicap included.I recommend this little Jewel to all and also I chose the red salsa not too hot just perfect for my taco”

Why wait in any other drive thru for more than 10-15 minutes for them to get your order wrong anyways and half the time get cold food? Thats what I usually experience. “Since I moved to college station from Houston, I have had bad luck finding an authentic tex-mex/mexican restaurant. But I have found one of my favorite restaurants in the Bryan/Cstat area. I had the pork Ranchero & my girlfriend had the enchiladas Verdes & both were delicious! Both the chip salsas were great, & I really like the green salsa for the chips. The food was reasonably priced, & the staff was very friendly & attentive. We are definitely coming back! I can't wait to try their chili relleno!”

“I hate that it's taken me so long to try this place out but I finally went to visit yesterday, along with my grown sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter for a birthday lunch for my oldest son who loves crawfish. The food is simply outstanding. I had the crab legs and shrimp boil with garlic butter and I seriously can't stop thinking about it today. Hands down the BEST I've ever eaten. “Used to eat at the downtown location of Madden's Casual Gourmet pretty regularly. I almost always ate the Cheese Sandwich with creamy basil soup. Back then, the plate was complimented with some fruit (a few white grapes & a few other berries). I ate that 90% of the time I chose to eat there, though there were other menu items I'd order, too. Today, I was expecting the same sandwich, same presentation, same soup, same fruit. Not so. Though the sandwich was crispy, which I like, it was also quite oily on the surfaces. The soup was okay, though darker than previously, perhaps less cream, but that was okay. On trips to Madden's in downtown Bryan, my sandwich never fell apart. The ingredients within the 2 slices of bread were secured to the inside, but today, bits of bacon were falling out left & right. There was a good crunch when biting into the sandwich sections, but I had to retrieve the bacon bits that fell out to enjoy them. I didn't think the Avocado was as good either. It was mushy, with dark spots in places. In the past, the avocado was applied smoothly as one would apply peanut butter to toast....where it doesn't fall off. I didn't want to give you a terrible rating, but somehow I was pretty certain whomever prepared my meal needs additional training to bring that sandwich up to the Madden sandwich I was used to.
On a better note, my girlfriend loved her Madden's salad with the cooked pear segments & chicken. She thought it was excellent. Thanks.”

The Texas Smoker was hefty and had a good sauce to potato ratio. Even though it looks absolutely drenched, once you fork a bit of brisket, Colby Jack, rib tips, and potato it turns out perfect.

Be careful of the rib tips, they still have small pieces of cartilage running through them as you would expect.

The chicken strips reminded my ma of DQ strips from the early 2000's. She was plenty happy with it for the price.

There's a small patio area to the right of the order window with bench tables. 3 tables that can comfortably fit 3 people on either side.”

“Wife and I decided to have Linner here after her afternoon Dr. appt. Being mid afternoon, we were one of three couples there...Our server Maria couldn't have been nicer...She continuously checked on us and we talked for about....Devided to splurge and we got the spinach dip which comes with tortilla chips, It was pretty good.....I also ordered some crawfish balls to try with my love for cajun food....They were OK but I couldn't taste crawfish very much...My wife ordered a 16 oz ribeye, medium well with a baked potato, fried okra...She finished everything but the potato...She was very happy with it all....I had there large Chicken Fried steak with white gravy, which took up most of the plate, fried okra, and grilled mixed vegetables.... The chicken fried steak was one of the best I've had...It was very large, not greasy, very tender, no grissle... The gravy was near perfect and they pair really well together....The mixed, grilled vegetables were perfect- broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, very tender, nicely seasoned, slight char. my other side was the fried okra which was excellent as well....Not greasy, coating was crunchy, nicely seasoned.....The helpings of all the sides were generous !!!!! We took home a pice of pecan pie and piece of coconut cream pie which were very good...Forgot to ask if they make them inhouse or not....We left with full, content tummies.... The steak prices appeared to be similar to Salt Grass- one our favorites...Look forward to coming back for more meals here.... “I’ve been here multiple times and my god the customer service is amazing! The workers there not only serve chicken but also tacos, burritos, etc! I’ve tried all the food in different occasions and it’s really good! The taco/burrito section varies with meats and other things everyday so there’s usually something new to try every day! That’s already amazing! The chicken is indeed… “krispy” n “crunchy!” it’s full of flavor and the right size! In my opinion it’s the goldilocks of chicken! Forget Whataburger we have Krispy Krunchy Chicken! Love the vibes and people here!!! Five stars :D”

“2 Chicken Tenders, a bacon egg & cheese biscuit, & Lg. Potato Wedge w/ a drink cost us $16.25 when I got to the car I realized how much we were charged so as my husband pumped gas I took the food back in and asked for a refund. I was refused a refund and was told to call back at 8am to talk to the manager. There were 3 other customers in the store who also agreed that it was way over priced, and so did an older lady who was also an employee. Calling to speak with a manager has been a joke.”

“Flaming bird is my favorite so it’s very difficult for me to give a low score. I travel across Texas for work and often go out of the way to stop at a flaming bird. This location needs a serious review from management. The moral from staff is low. The work area is small (smallest location I’ve come across). Because of the small work area, the wait is forever.”

“The food is great! Great service and truly some of the best chorizo and eggs I’ve ever tasted. Tortillas were amazing (corn and flour). I was very impressed. If I could critique one thing, it would be how warm it was inside the restaurant. Maybe investing in an extra AC unit would make eating inside more comfortable for your customers. Thank you!”

“Went for breakfast but go there a few minutes before breakfast ended so we ordered lunch. They were able to accommodate 12 of us on a Sunday. The food did not disappoint. All of the meats were marinated well and tender. We were able to easily split our bill at checkout and service was really great”

I went to a different Starbucks today for the new matcha loaf, but they were out so I just got my coffee & then headed to the Villa Maria Starbucks for the loaf (I know- big back of me). Once I got to the villa maria store, I realized my coffee hadn't been made right at the other location, so I asked them if I could just have a side of cold foam to add in myself, and this location said they'd instead completely remake the drink for free, even though the mistake hadn't been their fault. I was so blown away by this! They were genuinely so happy to do it despite me not even asking them to, and the drink was amazing! I mean look at the photo! 🤍”

“Our waitress was very attentive, friendly, bilingual and patient. Their food is packed with flavor and they serve a good amount. And so far have the hottest salsa I've ever had. Their plain rice (without peas & carrots) is so moist, fluffy and tender. I could tell their refried beans were made from scratch and not from a can or prepacked. The red enchilada sauce was not runny. Good and clean atmosphere, and what was extra nice about the atmosphere is that the music was not loud. I'll be going back soon to taste their Menudo!”

“I visited this Subway location today and ordered 2 subs, a 6 inch veggie delite and a footlong turkey sub. My turkey sub was made alright, a little too salty, but no big deal. However, my 6 inch sub for my fiancee was made incorrectly, which was extremely disappointing, especially considering the staff member had repeated the order back to me, which just confirms that he knows what he did wrong. The six inch was also strangely much smaller than usual.
As somebody who tips after their meal, don't expect me to leave a tip for poor service and an incorrect meal.
I also noticed a very anti-homeless sign on the door, which is extremely distasteful and heartless.
Aside from this, though, this Subway location is located in the heart of downtown Bryan. The interior is beautiful with an open design.”

“We come here almost every Sunday after church, either to dine in or pick up food to take home. The cashier is always warm, polite, and incredibly helpful — sometimes they even help us carry our order to the car. The servers are fast and efficient, and even during the busy lunch rush they always stay gracious and professional. Truly one of the best restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!”
