“We’ve been coming to Walk-on’s monthly, sometimes weekly, since they opened during the pandemic. This weekend, we decided to try another restaurant that opened recently with a very similarly-themed name. We were so unimpressed, and inadvertently compared our whole experience to Walk-on’s, which we seem to frequently do. Walk-on’s is consistently great. The service, the food, the bar drinks, all great. Everything is decently priced. I feel like the waitstaff is unique. We’ve never had bad service, even in the busiest times (which we try to avoid but in a college town, that’s sometimes unavoidable). There are lots of great options on the menu and the skinny margarita is one of the best in town. Consistently good, clean, great staff and just a really well-rounded restaurant.”

“I love Mai Shan Yun! It has the best Ramen and for dessert the Brown Sugar rice cake reminds me of Mochi.. yummy bites of heaven!”

“Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.”

“We had a fantastic dinner last night. In addition to the great food and service, we enjoyed participating in Mash Madness. The staff helped arrange a surprise flight of special bourbons for my husband, and the owner came and chatted with us about bourbon and whisky. It was a very memorable evening!”

“New Year's Eve at the Reveille Bar was great, with one exception. Neither of the bartenders working that night knew how to mix drinks. It took my date 45 minutes to get through the line. When she got to the front, the bartenders were having to look up recipes on their phones.

I'd suggest that in the future for similar events you limit drink service at the rooftop bar to beer, wine, and shots only, and tell people wanting mixed drinks to go down to the main bar on the first floor. It would work out better for everyone.

“The moment we walked in the door we were greeted so kindly. We were a little intimidated with the menu as they were foods we have never tried but Julie our waitress was literally superb! She walked us through the menu from drinks to eats and she was just so knowledgeable in what we shared what we liked and the chef hit the nail on the head with all the amazing flavors in the food, we definitely will be coming back to this place on our future date nights.”

But, it's a McD's: it's cheap and easy and you won't be disappointed coming here vs anywhere else. Will come back if on this side of campus.”

“The handles on the doors to this McDonald’s are cold to the touch and stiff. As soon as I walk in, my mind is set on that beautiful, luscious, smooth macho chicken sandwich. It’s so beautiful on the pictures on the menu proudly displayed above the heads of the McEmployees who handle all that moolah. I’m telling ya, the dollar amount per calorie is low, which translates to lots of calories per dollar. I feel good at this point. Then I hear the beautiful sound of my name called out—as a number like a prisoner. Then I get my sandwich, wrapped like one of those presents in tissue paper. I’m usually hungry enough by this point that I’ve forgotten what my McChicken was supposed to look like, feel like, and ultimately be like. It’s like one of those jokes where the devil is recruiting one day and then you’re staff. Except that it tastes alright. Well, anything is delicious when you’re hungry enough. The serving portions are too small so people won’t go supersize with one. So I usually have to order two. When it’s all over, I can contemplate my life decisions. Hence the review. At least I’m usually in good company among all the engineering students who frequent this McEatery. Then I leave. This time I can push the door which flings wide open albeit with a good amount of torque required. Maybe some lubricant would help. Some hand soap that smells good would also be appreciated.”

If you want a chill night this is our go too. Plus if you ask for a torchys tini and ask for extra olives you ask and you shall recieve!! “This is a 3.5 star establishment. Reason being price has gotten expensive. 4 meals 2 drinks 68 dollars that includes a tip. Food is good but quantity is lacking. Their po boy was the worst entre we got today. My NewkQ was good daughters Italian sandwich was 2nd best and the Turkey Avocado was 3rd. Lobster bisque has great flavor not very filling. We like Newks, but it's pricing it's way off our family dining, if I spend 60 dollars at Jersey Mike's I would come home with way more food.”

“Beef rib was huge and so good. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, huge dining, turf area outside with porch seating. Full bar and huge dining with televisions. The sides were amazing…cream corn, twice baked potatoes, oh and the desserts, so good! Cobblers and Blue Bell. Homemade banana pudding too! Best part…the meat includes pinto beans, bread and all the fixings! There is something for everyone…including frozen margaritas!”

“I have been going to McAlisters since they opened for their authentic and delicious Reuben sandwich. I had none tonight and was so disappointed. The taste was almost the same but it fell apart in my hand. I immediately knew what had happened. The rye bread was no longer grill toasted, it was done in a toaster, therefore the sauce and sauerkraut soaked through the bread making it soggy and I longer edible except with a fork. The staff admitted the grill had been replaced with a toaster. PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR GRILL. I am so sad, literally sad because I looked forward to eating my favorite sandwich in my favorite place very often. PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR GRILL.”

The buffet is great so u can taste new things without committing to it for your entire meal. Their cucumber salad is amazing. Lots of healthy choices. Environment is open with windows all around.
