In an awkward location this spot thrives in its destination provisions for motorcycle enthusiasts as well as neighborhood respite. Sportsmen as well as families love the games out in the huge backyard and its famous wood stove and jukebox... the sports and games play nonstop on one of 5-6 wide screens...if that's not enough there is a regulation pool table! Events most weekends make live tunes and cowboy church easy to enjoy... rumor has it a weekly Sat morning farmers/crafters market may soon be available in our sweet spot east of the dump...the Carlos community is grateful to Yankees!”

“This is a crawfish place, I don't eat crawfish. Now the people I go with, say its the best they've ever eaten. It is spicy. So if you love crawfish, this is the place to go. I always get a hamburger, which I always have to 10 minutes are more to get after the crawfish has been brought to the table. Now, we have already waited 20 to 30 minutes on the crawfish (place stays busy for crawfish). I understand one ticket at a time, but I would like to have my food at the same time. Plus, the hamburger isn't that good. Salads look good for next time. They also have steak on the menu and appetizers.”

“Food was decent, staff was polite and attentive. The salad needs to be torn down more for I had a couple of large chunks of center piece of the lettuce in the bottom of the bowl. The spaghetti and meatballs I order with meat sauce was ok. Will try the pizza next time. The booths seat cushions are in need of repair or reupholstering for they are ripped up and large sections missing. The dining rooms and bar are very brightly lit so you can see everyone sitting around you. No soft lighting so no romantic dining.”

“I can’t say enough about this place. My husband and I were driving through Navasota on a road trip and saw Martin standing out front in his ice cream hat and apron and my husband slammed on the brakes. We knew this place would be epic. And it WAS! Martin was a joy and we talked to him for a long time about how he’s been an ice cream man for almost 50 years. He absolutely loves his job and it shows. You can’t find places like this anymore. While living in New York, he was a Good Humor ice cream man, but now that he’s in Texas he of course sells the best- BLUE BELL! He’s got like 50 flavors and the best sundaes and milkshakes too. We’ve now been able to bring our kids and they truly believe Mr Martin hung the moon ❤️ we live almost an hour away but want Martin’s Sweet Shop to be a regular treat for our family. Such a gem of a place, owned by the kindest man!”

“Stopped for a late lunch. Herrera was pleasant and the staff was attentive and very nice. Chips and salsa were good and the salsa had a good kick to it. We ordered the jalapeños poppers as an appetizer and a chicken fajita torta and the beef fajitas. The poppers had good flavor bit used a different batter than most .. a little bit different and not my preference. Their was plenty of food to eat but both the chicken fajitas and the beef fajitas could have used more flavor.”

“I stopped on a road trip because I hadn’t had my espresso shot for the day. The coffee was excellent. I kept it simple with a latte with coconut milk but it was really delicious! Something different yet delicious about it! Hubby got tea which was also had a really good tea flavor. It actually tasted like tea and not colored water! Downside for me…the large tea is only 24 ounces. Next time I will try the food.”

“Cafe is to die for and the Garden Center and gift shop has about everything you can imagine in it, plus great Prices on plants and unique hard to find plants too, lots parking and the Friendliest Staff around!!! “You will not find a better steak anywhere in the area. Seasoned with a bit of pepper, and soft enough it came apart with a fork. The onion rings were to die for. Chicken fried steak and baked potato. Wow. And reasonable prices. A huge 14oz steak for $25. This would be $40 at a chain steak house and not nearly as good.”

“Had a great time hanging out here with my daughter and son-in-law. They are regular supporters of this unique bar. The owner is friendly and does a great job getting to know each customer. We played a fun betting game using a roomba on a pool table that would knock the balls in. Whatever ball was left was the winner of the jackpot (buy-in was $10 a ball).”

“Food good, staff pleasant. I especially liked that fried okra is offered as a side in addition to fries and onion rings. And the fried okra was EXCELLENT. But after being in business for 57 years, couldn't you expand to have more room and some actual tables and chairs? Seating is uncomfortable and too many people in one little room. Being cramped was my only complaint. Take-out would solve that problem but I was in Navasota from out of town so nowhere else to go. All said, you can't beat the price.”

“Great place, excellent service. We're going back just to check out the rooftop seating area and the rest of that shopping area. Waitress recommended a delicious drink from a local farm(our next destination). I'm definitely going back a couple times. Worth the drive from Houston. Try the spinach artichoke dip with crustini and the crab cake balls were alright. Pit stop on our way back from Austin, decided to check it out as soon as we saw it on the way there. Entrees look fantastic, just read the menu and drool.”

“My family was starving and couldn’t wait any longer so we decided to stop in Navasota for lunch. We saw this taqueria open (on Sunday) and decided to give it a shot. It took us off guard because it’s a Western Store and Taqueria in one. We popped in and they had plenty of seating, it smelled delicious, so we decided to go ahead. We ordered several street taco plates and a beef fajita quesadilla plate with rice & beans. Now, I’m kicking myself for not getting pictures of the food, but as I said, we were starving! It was absolutely and utterly delicious. Our favorite was the beef fajita quesadilla, which isn’t your average quesadilla. It was packed with sautéed onions, peppers, steak, and yummy hot cheese. The flavor was out of this world. They also have a red salsa (habanero) and a green salsa (salsa verde) that is served alongside your food. They were both flavorful and delicious, too! The staff was extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. They check on us numerous times throughout our meal. I forgot to add, you order at the front before you sit at your table - it’s a quick, easy, and pleasant experience. My family will be back for sure, and we’ll also be recommending the Taqueria to our family and friends who often pass through town. My recommendation: give this place a shot! You will NOT be disappointed. We are stuffed and happy. Thank you for the hospitality and great food! We sure appreciate it in times like these where it’s hard to find…”
