“The festival in itself is a lot of fun, costumes are great, there are a lot of shows and entertainment. What was not amusing was the elaborate animal abuse. Horses, ponies, elephants and llamas. There is no ethical way to get an elephant to accept a human on its back. It was depressing. The festival does not need animals for entertainment, there's plenty to see as is.”

“Thoughts from a many year patron. Opening cheese plates were amazing and delicious as always. The salad was under dressed, boring, and flavorless. The soup is where things start to go sideways for us. It was introduced as a lobster bisque, this is a stretch for me as it was obviously a potato based soup with some lobster chunks in it. Although tasty, it is misleading billing this as a bisque. Next is the sausage.....dry and over seasoned with thyme to the point that it was inedible. Next was the pork, it was ok, but again, over cooked and plain. The next offering strait up made me angry. Serving 1/8" thick slices of top sir loin and billing it as beef tenderloin is a travesty and should be a crime. That is a flat out lie about what you are being served. It was cooked well and tasted good so I was able to get full on it after a few servings. The chicken literally had no seasoning at all, not even salt or pepper. It was cooked well and not too dry, but I was shocked that it was not even salted. The last straw for me was the prime rib, overcooked and dry to the point that it also was inedible. I'm not sure if there is anyone checking and maintaining the food standards, but if there is, that person is in the wrong position. I have had a better dining experience at Golden Corral than what was brought to us Sunday at 11am. As a past kings feast, 8 years straight, and founders club patron, 2019, the food standards were nowhere near what my many past experiences were. This is not a staffing shortage issue, a food shortage issue, or any other outside influence affecting these issues, they are plain and simple lazyness and cost cutting that is coming from within the kitchen, and a lack of someone caring about the quality of the product. I would have rather had less food brought out at a higher quality, than the hoards of overcooked, plain, and tasteless platters that were offered this year.”

“This place was just fantastic. I had the brisket, sausage, and dirty rice. It was good finally eating at a barbecue joint that didn’t leave me in a meat-coma afterwards without sacrificing quality.”

“Excellent local spot! Delicious hamburgers and fries. I would also recommend their artichoke dip as an appetizer, it was so good! It has a very clean and nice relaxed atmosphere, with wonderful customer service. Also, they have a nice green grass area where the kids can play if you want to dine outside.”

We arrived I did not get his name but he had a great handle bar mustache. He came out to our truck asked our name went back and brought our order out.We were very impressed. “Whether you are looking to sit outside with friends or dine inside, this place has it all. The pizzas are TO DIE FOR. I am not typically a mushroom person but the mushroom pizza.. Oh! My!!Mixed drinks are available along with beers and wine. (I think I had Happy Accident?.. very good).Hopefully they are around a long time. Can see visiting here becoming a tradition.Parking: Gravel lot. Some people even had their boat attached to their truck in the parking lot.”

“Just ordered some food there for takeout got the grilled pork chops mashed potatoes and some green beans have to say the best food I have had in a very long time and not only one pork chop I got two and it was decently priced definitely would be going here more ”

“Used to be a frequent flyer but the place was closed every time I tried to go by so I went elsewhere. I believe their hours updated, so finally was able to return recently. Got a burger and must say it was probably the best burger I've had in town! “I took a small group of bikers in for lunch last weekend and was surprised at the attention we received. The food was great, the porch was perfect and the service was awesome! If you ride these people understand your needs. Our leftovers were boxed and wrapped so they wouldn't spill in our bikes. We will be back!”
