“Absolutely impressed with Victory Pie Company near City Hall in Tomball. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is intentional about what they do. Purposeful, fresh-cooked breakfast and lunch done right—no shortcuts, no fluff, just solid food that tastes like it was made with pride. The atmosphere stands out just as much as the menu. I really respect how they honor our service men and women throughout the building; it’s authentic and meaningful, not performative. You feel that respect the entire time you’re there. This is the kind of local spot you want to support and come back to. Great food, strong values, and a welcoming environment. I’ll definitely be returning.”

“My husband and I visited the Katy location on Valentine's Day. At first, I was a little taken back by what the hostess and the manager/owner were wearing. Because it was supposed to be a nice steakhouse, I assumed they would've been dressed nicer rather than shorts and what looked like a Hawaiian shirt. However, the food and the service were phenomenal. The pecan butter was amazing. I had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive, funny and made us feel very taken care of. I highly recommend this place…”

“Went to tailgators today for the worst service a restaurant could offer leave you sitting 15 minutes with nothing to drink after telling tailgators staff what l wanted to drink 15 to 20 minutes later nothing and this is not the first time at this location so l got up and left no service l told the manager l was going to save him the comp. Because the last time I was in tailgators it took an hour to be served after we ordered so they comp one meal l just saved tailgators the embarrassment!!Service is a joke!”

“I do recommend this place. The service has always been good and the food always excellent. We did have a little hiccup once when the food was cold but that was no big deal but they gave us a $20 gift card which they did not have to do. The food was good when we heated it up at home. This last time I had taken my leftover beef tips home and later when I ate some of it, they’re was a hard plastic object in it and it was sharp and a long point on it that jabbed the top of my mouth. I took pictures of it and emailed them. Haven’t heard anything yet. I’m just saying that they need to be aware and careful if something accidentally drops in the food while cooking. This thing could have seriously done some damage if I had swallowed it.”

Food is very good and homemade. Not fast food at all. We have tried the shrimp rolls which are amazing, orange chicken and the spring rolls. Flavor is exceptional and is presented well on the plate. Restaurant is very clean. Aaron and his wife Lei are very nice and attentive. Prices are good too. Glad we have another choice in Magnolia. Will be going again soon. Try it soon!”

“Oh my gosh, from the service to the food everything was amazing. The store is clean, cute and quick. We met the owner, it's a family business which we love to support. The bagels were great! The are hand rolled and boiled that morning. My husband had a sandwich and it was huge and the taste was on point. We don't find a lot of other bagel places that we like, but this was just like being at home. If you are in Houston this is a must try!”

Spotted This Bird’s Cooked at Deacon Baldy’s and figured I’d give it a shot. The owner was out there and was super friendly. She took the time to walk me through the different heat levels and actually explained what gets added as you step up. That kind of thing goes a long way. You can tell she genuinely cares about the food and the experience. Got the tacos topped with slaw and wow. So much flavor packed into every bite. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the spice was on point. Not too much, not too little, just right. The slaw on top pulled it all together and gave it that little bit of crunch and coolness that balanced everything out. This one genuinely surprised me. It’s hard to find a place that actually nails it and these guys did. Wish I had found them a long time ago. If you see this truck out there, do yourself a favor and stop. You won’t regret it.”

You instantly feel like you've known them. So welcoming. So I'd already go back based on that alone. Then we ate their food and were BLOWN AWAY. The precious princess of a lady that took care of us probably heard me exclaim "SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!" just about every single bite I kid you not. We got the Samosa Nachos as an appetizer and I'm so sorry but you'll just have to look it up lol. We both ordered from the British side of their menu. It's got a Mediterranean flare to it too. He got a gyro I believe . . I got a bite. The absolute best oh my GAWD. And I got the Parmo and Fries which was a fried chicken breast cordon bleu style with bechemel sauce and melty cheese. Again, SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!! Had to try the boiled egg wrapped in ground sausage, rolled in bread crumbs and deep fried served with wasabi ranch. Dudes I promise you I'm not making this up!!! Oh and I took home a Shepherd's Pie with a side of mushy peas for tomorrow cuz . . Um DUH!!! “Really enjoyed visiting Sushiya in Magnolia. The restaurant was very clean, the owners were very kind and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about the food.

They are under new ownership as of last month or two, and I was honestly impressed. The sushi overall was better than many sushi places I’ve tried around Houston. The salmon especially tasted really fresh. The rolls were really good too.

“Admittedly, Subway isn’t on the top of my list for sandwiches just do to a history of messed up orders & hit-and-miss experiences in general (lots of misses). But after a long day at work for my husband and I yesterday, it sounded quick, easy, and cheap. I placed an order through the app at this location at almost 8 pm and arrived shortly after. It was also set to be my first time ordering at this location.

When I went in, the sweet young man behind the counter let me know that they were mostly out of bread, but that they had some proofing and almost ready to go in, and I could choose from wheat or a flatbread if I’d like. They didn’t want to make my order without me knowing or getting what I’d ordered. I asked about softness of the wheat and he truthfully told me it was a little past his prime. I asked how long the bread proofing would had to back and he told me about 15 min, plus time to cool enough to work with it. I told him that was fine with me & that I’d be willing to just hang out and wait. I really appreciated him being straight with me about quality of the wheat bread and gave me a realistic time frame I’d potentially be waiting.

I took a seat and started scrolling & playing games on my phone to bide the time. A few moments later, he called me by name and asked if I’d like a drink, cookie, or chips while I waited. I declined at first, but when I realized they have Mountain Dew, I took him up on his offer.

While I sat there, I watched a few people come and go and saw the two young people working have to continue to explain the bread issue. The employees remained calm and kind even when some of them were visibly annoyed.

When my sandwich was done, they called me by name and recalled I’d mentioned earlier that this sandwich was dinner for my husband and I. I was then asked if I’d like a drink or cookie to take him for having to wait. I declined, but thanked them for that generosity because they didn’t have to do ANY of that. In a time of frustration, they remained not only calm, but KIND! They CHOSE kindness. Even though I had to wait, I’ll be back at that Subway the next time that craving hits because of that alone! They did what most people have forgotten how to do. Kudos to those young employees, their families, and their management.

And yes, it was the best Subway sandwich I’ve ever had and totally worth the wait.”

“I always have to go through the drive through window here, which is fine because I can order ahead on the app. If i go into the actual store, I am usually waiting for several minutes each time before someone greets me or asks if I'm waiting on a drink. My order has always been done correctly though and is usually ready on time.”

“We ALWAYS go to this Sonic, no matter inconvenient it is, because this Sonic has the BEST drinks! Seriously, where else can you get a sweet tea and not have it taste old and disgusting. But today when we came and ordered lunch, we got home to discover that: not one, not two...but 4 of our burgers were made incorrectly! When I called and complained, the manager was VERY apologetic and she said if I bring my receipt, they will fix everything. The owner of the restaurant was there as well and she came out and talked to me when I arrived. I left with 4 correct burgers, 4 orders of fresh fries, a token for a free Cherry limeade, and personal apologies from both the manager and the owner. The staff may have dropped the ball this time, but the actions the owner and the manager took to 'make it right' will keep us coming back. Thank you for the excellent personal service.”
