“I had heard great things about True Texas BBQ at H-E-B from my girlfriend. When we arrived Saturday to do some shopping, I decided to finally test it out. I was overwhelmed by the menu—it all sounded great—but thankfully an employee named Joe was there to guide us through some great options. Let me tell you, we have had some of the best BBQ in Texas, and this place really impressed us. True Texas BBQ, and Joe’s friendliness and genuine personality, led to a phenomenal experience overall. “I do recommend this place. The service has always been good and the food always excellent. We did have a little hiccup once when the food was cold but that was no big deal but they gave us a $20 gift card which they did not have to do. The food was good when we heated it up at home. This last time I had taken my leftover beef tips home and later when I ate some of it, they’re was a hard plastic object in it and it was sharp and a long point on it that jabbed the top of my mouth. I took pictures of it and emailed them. Haven’t heard anything yet. I’m just saying that they need to be aware and careful if something accidentally drops in the food while cooking. This thing could have seriously done some damage if I had swallowed it.“
